SoloMen

One day for lunch, we went to a new cafe that serves good coffee and handmade Ramen in SS2 (same row as Lobsterman but right at the other far end).

Sapporo Ramen (Tonkotsu Broth) at MYR17.90 nett. The tonkotsu broth is rich and thick.

ChasuMen (Shoyu Broth) at MYR17.90 nett. The Chasu (pork) is quite thick.

Ramen set at MYR22.90 nett. A big bowl of Ramen (Shoyu broth) with a small bowl of fried rice and 3 gyoza (as shown in the photo below).

My friend says the fried rice is tasty and flavourful.

My order - a glass of strawberry yogurt smoothie at MYR12.90 nett and 6 gyoza at MYR11.80 nett. I was half full after finishing half of my drink. The gyoza has succulent minced pork fillings. I don't think I could finish a bowl of Ramen so I did not order any.

Edamame (soy bean that is not matured) - MYR7.50 nett to share. My glass of strawberry drink is next to it for size comparison.

Total bill for 5 pax. This is the place to go to for tasty Ramen that is more affordable than those served by specialty ramen shop. Foc plain water is provided so my friends did not order any drinks.

Storefront. Location: 16, Jalan SS2/24, PJ

  1. In SG, one bowl of Ramen costs around S$10 to S$12 onwards

I would love to have that gyoza

  3. I have bookmarked this place as the Sapporo Ramen attracted me!
I noticed they used lots of corn in that Hokkaido region and that enhanced the taste of the broth.

BTW I have just replied the comments in PH blog about eating the food after prayers.
