For MYR2, I could only buy a piece of chee cheong fun (kosong) from a stall in Friendship Cafe. Back in 2014, the price is only MYR1.60 per piece. Not much nutritional value (just carb and sugar) but it does keep me full for at least 2 hours.
40 cent increased within 3 years, ok la...I prefer my ccf to have something to go along with, such as fishball, fried beancurd skin...otherwise I cannot finish my ccf coz too bland
So cheap! Dunno how much was the kosong here but the ones with char siew or prawn would go up to around RM9.00, if I remember correctly. Anyway, closed down already the Ipoh guy's stall here. No love lost. Too expensive.
I can see lots of sesame seeds which I like. But I don't like plain chee cheong fun. I prefer ccf with dried shrimp or the rolled ones with yam bean filling.
I enjoy eating many types of chee cheong fun at the restaurant at Taman Megah. My top favourites are the kosong, Penang and Teluk Anson styles! So yums!

ReplyDeleteWith sauce it won't be bland.
DeleteI also like my ccf kosong, at most with chicken meat, don't like it with char siew, prawn or any other stuff
ReplyDeleteSometimes I eat with beancurd sheets.

ReplyDelete1 piece/sheet of ccf only. Should be max rm2.
DeleteHard to find food for RM2 nowadays. Used to have RM2 kolo mee, RM2 chicken tice. Now dont know have or not.
ReplyDeleteCcf can buy only 1 sheet so would be max rm2 only.
DeleteThat must be a very small portion.
ReplyDeleteYou can imagine the size of 1 sheet of ccf.
