5 of us went to the "food court" by Jaya Grocer in the Gardens Mall for lunch and bought half a roast chicken (MYR32.90 nett) with 2 sides to share - we chose mash potatoes and apple salad as the sides. One of us ordered a bowl of mushroom soup and the rest of us ordered the same too because the drinks here are more expensive than a bowl of mushroom soup (MYR6.80 nett each).
There is a promotion of buy one pizza and get 50% off the 2nd pizza. We ordered a smoked salmon pizza and a quattro stagioni (four seasons) pizza. After we paid, we were informed that the smoked salmon pizza was not available so we replaced the smoked salmon pizza (MYR32.90 nett) with a lamb meatball pizza (MYR26.90 nett) which was lower in price. Instead of asking for a cash refund on the difference in price, we opted to have an additional bowl of side dish which is about the same price as the cash refund. We chose vegetables (broccoli, carrots and baby tomatoes) as the side dish. This price for this side dish is stated as MYR7.50 nett on the menu.
Quattro Stagioni (four seasons) thin crust pizza - chicken sausage, beef, mushrooms and tuna - MYR27.80 nett but was MYR13.90 nett due to the 50% off promotion for the 2nd pizza.
Lamb meatball thin crust pizza. The price (MYR26.90 nett) is a bit lower than the smoked salmon pizza (MYR32.90 nett). Both thin crust pizzas are very tasty and crunchy but is a bit on the salty side.
Total Bill is MYR113.70 nett which means about MYR22.75 for one pax.
I love when everyone share a meal. Thin crust pizza is my choice.
ReplyDeletenow i like thin crust pizza.
DeleteIs this price considered normal in KL these days? My friends said you cannot get a meal for less than RM30 in KL malls these days.
ReplyDeletestill can get. like at dave deli a very nice meal chickenchop with warm filtered water is MYR15 only after 30% on weekdays non public holiday.
DeleteSigh!!! My girl misses pizzas...and pasta so much, all not gluten-free. Sometimes it does get her down, sticking to her diet.
ReplyDeleteafter so long, maybe she can try a slice of pizza to see if the ill effects are still there. Her stomach may have healed itself after the long rest from gluten.
DeleteThose pizzas seem to be inviting me to eat them.
ReplyDeleteme too.
Deletei didn't know The Gardens Jaya Grocer got foodcourt...how jakun I m!
ReplyDeletego check it out the next time you are there. the roasted chicken smells really good.
DeleteCalculating for promo prices can get quite complex! The food looks pretty good.
ReplyDeletethis is complex because they exchange one item for a lesser priced item and top up with yet another item. confusing, eh? hehehe.
DeleteA pity that the pizzas are a bit on the salty side
ReplyDeletemaybe you won't find them salty.
DeleteHey, this meal is worth while and I like the way you snapped the first photo. Very neat presentation.
ReplyDeleteI must pay attention to the food court as I didn't pay attention after having shopped there before.
Thanks! The food there is quite good so you can go there to look see look see.
