My set lunch - MYR13.90 nett covers a drink - I chose a barley drink and requested for no sugar, a piece of watermelon, rice, vege-of-the-day which was stirfried brinjal, a piece of omelette and chicken cooked in a mixed of spices (Ayam Kerutuk/Kerutup/Kerutub). ****Update - thanks for pointing out that the above drink is lime juice which I ordered without sugar. I ordered barley on another visit *****
They also serve healthy wraps

My set lunch on another working day - also MYR13.90 - fried fish, barley drink without sugar, rice, omelette, watermelon, stirfried vege-of-the-day. Food tastes good but the rice is a much too much for me since I had to finish my drink too so I no longer eat here for lunch.
looks good and i guess the portion is just nice for me.. veggie, omelette, meat and fruits, i think this rather balance meal is why they call themselves "better lifestyle"?? and the tagline says "freedom in a bowl", haha, what does that mean?? can mix and match the dishes for the set lunch?? :)
ReplyDeleteCannot mix and match for set lunch but they sell other dishes as well as healthy food full of veges. Maybe the bowl here means another bowl where it is easy to go after eating more vege?
DeleteThis set meal is more than enough for the both of us, Mun
ReplyDeleteI agree.
DeleteThe drink looks like lime juice to me, the portion is just nice for me too cos I am a big eater
ReplyDeleteYou are right. My mistake. It is lime juice without sugar.
DeleteThe drink looks like lemon juice, haha.. I like the meat dish, looks very "hoi wai".. But if got another bowl of soup, lagi best :)
ReplyDeleteLime juice. Wah got drinks you also got space for soup?
DeleteVery nice, minus the discomfort of sweating it out at a coffee shop with all the noise and all, I would choose to come here too! Looks good!!!
ReplyDeleteFor comfort of course this place is better.
DeleteThe dishes are enough for two of those servings of rice! Ya RM1x is a decent price.
ReplyDeleteYou will like the portion and price here. :)
DeleteHehe. Need bit more RICE la...
DeleteI give you 3 quarters of my rice. :)
DeleteThe portion looks a bit big to me, have the feeling that I might be able to finish all. xp
ReplyDeleteThe portion is big. After eating here 3 times I decided not to eat here anymore due to the big portion.
DeleteIf the food tastes good and is value-for-money, why won't you eat here again? If the rice is too much, just ask for less or, if that's too much of a hassle, I would just not finish the rice.
ReplyDeleteBecause even with half rice the portion is still too much for me. I am not into wasting food like eat half of everything, would rather eat chapfan where I control the portion of food I take for half the price of this set lunch and I really dislike having drinks included in my meals as I prefer to drink plain water from home.
DeleteThe set lunch surely valuable for money especially with a fish too. Yumm.
ReplyDeleteLooking at the total package, yes the set lunch is really value for money. That's why there are queues for seats during lunch time.
DeleteTheir mains (that ayam, and is that fish in 2nd pic) are loaded with those spices or sambal gravy. Not exactly what I would imagine for something that is called healthier dining. Usually the sauce is the most unhealthy part of a meal.
ReplyDeleteThey do sell salad wraps and fruits. I guess they need to sell this to make money. You are right, those sambal and spices are usually made with sugar so lots of hidden sugar in them.
DeleteThe portion size looks pretty good to me. Can you not ask for less rice?
ReplyDeleteOf course we can ask but whether or not they remember to give is another thing.
DeleteGood deal. For the price and dishes offered with a drink is cheap lah. So balanced with cut fruit some more.
ReplyDeleteI agree it is a good deal but portion is too big for me.
