Yang Kee Revisited

My last visit here was in April 21 last year so it is almost one year ago.

Mixed beef noodle (dry) small portion - MYR7 (to add 6% GST to this price) and this time the minced meat was not as salty as the previous visit.

The bowl of mix beef items in soup comes with the bowl of noodle. The other bowl is the same bowl of braised beef with radish in photo 1, a small portion for MYR8 (to add 6% GST to this price) just like last year but this time they did not give us any radish (white lobak). The braised beef was tender and very delicious and there were quite a number of pieces in the small bowl.

It was around 3pm on a Saturday, way after lunch time but almost all the tables were occupied. The eatery itself looks brighter than last year with a new coat of paint and a wall partition between the kitchen and the dining area. They even put up pretty noren (traditional Japanese fabric dividers hung between rooms).

The wall with a glass window to the kitchen was not there last year. There is also a noren hung at the doorway to the kitchen.

The rest of the eatery looks the same.

Front Facade looks the same too. Yang Kee at OUG.

  5. oh I see they also sell the "dai bou noodles".. have not been there before, actually didn't know this place lah, hahahaha!! the beef noodles looks exactly the same as the one I used to frequent near Lebuh Ampang, Soong Kee if you have heard of?? but they do not have the braised beef like what you ordered in Yang Kee, looks good, the gravy is sure so good to go with the noodles..

  6. Branch huh... I (used to) always pass by a shop by the same name in Peel Road, probably their original shop. It was also always super crowded. But then, I never went in, you know why..

  12. Looks like a nice place with beef noodles...braised beef with no radish? I love radish better than beef because the radish will be very tasty.
