2 bowls of cendol at MYR5.90 each ++6% GST. We requested for more shaved ice because ..
at another outlet, the cendol came like this, most of the shaved ice have melted and we requested for more shaved ice which they brought to us in another bowl foc. I wonder when they will start to charge for additional shaved ice when more and more customers request for it.
Penang Curry Mee - MYR8.90 need to add 6% to the price making it MYR9.40 - very creamy curry.
Rojak at MYR7.90 (+6%). Can't really see much here as the fruits were all covered with sweet thick sauce and crushed peanuts.
This receipt did not include the 6% GST into the price of the food item but calculated it at the end of the receipt. They did put in our request into the receipt - more ice, less sweet.

Teochew Chendol in Mines Shopping Mall - open concept
Over 70 years of Heritage, it seems.
Oh.. if you add the additional shaved ice, won't it be tasteless?
ReplyDeleteIt was sweet to begin with so asking for less sweet and more ice makes it perfect for us because we don't like to eat very sweet food.
DeleteI love all the food shown here, chendol, curry mee and rojak
ReplyDeleteMe too.
DeleteEverything sure looks good. Mines? Aiyor!!!! So far away. :(
ReplyDeleteYes quite far from town center but not if you are staying at Palace of Golden Horses nearby,
DeleteCurry mee looks yum!
ReplyDeleteYes it is tasty!
DeleteI always wish my cendol to have more liew and gula Melaka, and less shaved ice, and more sweet somemore, hehe..
ReplyDeleteYou have a very sweet tooth. :)
DeleteRojak. I like a lot of rojak paste and crushed peanuts.
ReplyDeleteCan always request for more paste.
Deletei think I first heard of this Teochew Chendul from your blog.. and since then I've seen them more often in more shopping malls.. but everytime I passed by one, it's often I have had something earlier on so I could not spare more "stomach space" for the cendol.. haha!! BTW thanks for sharing the additional request at no cost :)
ReplyDeleteYou are welcome! Next time just go with empty stomach to eat at this place.
DeleteOver 70 years of heritage.... for that original stall in Penang. But thumbs up for them for giving you more shaved ice for free. ;)
ReplyDeleteI hope they continue to do so. :)
DeleteI love cendol and I've heard about this Teochew cendol for a while now but have not tried. I think one just opened near where I stay...must go try that one day.
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to read your post after you have tried it.
DeleteVery nice, cendol, curry mee and rojak! I would have been happy :)
ReplyDeleteI was happy too and I will go again. :)
Deletedelicious looking curry mee and chendol! slurrp!!!
ReplyDeleteI wanna go eat again.
DeleteCendol, curry mee & rojak, all are my favourites.
ReplyDeletenice right?
DeleteCurry mee looks so delicious! I tried it once and loved it!
ReplyDeleteGood that you have tried curry mee before.
DeleteNot too bad, the GST, some places are really taking advantage of it with service charge + GST. Others are fair e.g. I was surprised to find out Tim Ho Wan doesn't charge 10% service, only 6% GST.
ReplyDeleteOh, thanks for telling me. Now I want to go eat at Tim Ho Wan again.
DeleteOne of my fav place to check out for cendol and curry mee. I prefer their penang curry mee over the asam laksa
ReplyDeleteTheir assam laksa is too spicy for me. I like their white curry with sotong.
DeleteWow everything looks so good. Prices not bad too.
ReplyDeleteThat's why I am hooked. :)
