Unknown food

Economy rice - MYR9. I went to a shop selling economy rice that I have not been before so I was not familiar with the dishes and did not know what to select. I took the deep fried "sotong" and stir fried bitter gourd.

Then I looked around and saw this piece of quartered green bell pepper (capsicum) with unknown stuffings in it. I like to eat capsicums so I took it without knowing what the fillings are. After eating it, the texture was soft so it was definitely not fish or meat paste. At that time I thought the fillings could be egg omelette with diced long bean. Maybe I should not have taken any unknown food or I could have asked the busy person-in-charged of this shop what the fillings were made of before selecting it.

  1. I was laughing already before I clicked on your post.. Unknown food? Funny ahh you.. Today I went to eat chap-farn too for lunch.. Just simply take only.. Nothing can go wrong with 1 meat, 1 tofu (with minced meat) and 1 egg.. And a glass of leong-sui, hehe..

    1. I think also because of the capsicum. And also because this is a shop selling chap fan with aircon and nice tables and chairs.

    1. The stuffings/fillings taste like egg to me. Not cheap maybe due to the aircon and nice seatings.

    1. I think it is the aircon and also the rental of the shop. This is not a coffee shop.

    1. Upper-class? Hotel food is upper-class.
The fillings taste more like egg than tofu to me but then it is so soft it could be anything. *shudders*

    1. To be fair, I don't think there is a signboard claiming economy rice in the air-conditioned shop with nice seatings. It is just that I call all chap fan style food economy rice. Hahaha, my bad.
