Prawns Omelette Rice

On Thursday 7.aug.2025, went to Pavilion Bukit Jalil because he wanted to buy some household items from nitori.

*** The Eight eatery ***

11.53 am - he ordered chicken slices curry set rice with a small bowl of soup and a jelly dessert MYR 19.90++
I ordered prawns Omelette Rice MYR 20.80++
I am surprised that they put slices of raw onion on top of the omelette rice because usually the onion is put into the omelette so the onion is cooked and not raw. Now the raw onions gave a fresh clean taste to the omelette.
Total MYR 47.20 nett

12.28 noon - The Eight eatery

*** Oriental Kopi ***

10.11 am - our usual breakfast set MYR 13.90++

10.14 am - he ordered a slice of margarine toast with sugar sprinkled on top MYR 3.90++ because he used to eat this type of toast as a child.

*** Clear Fridge Food ***

4.13 pm - he ate 🥑 and gave me a quarter so I ate it with a slice of wholemeal bread and we both ate one tea egg each bought on Monday.

4.42 pm - I then ate both the pineapple pastries I bought on Tuesday. Then I ate one slice of wholemeal bread with no added salt no added sugar peanut butter.

Morning 44.45
Next morning 45.05
Retained 600g water because ate too much rice and pastries.

*** The End ***

    1. I am ok with raw onions, just don't see raw onions being used often in Cantonese cuisine.
May I know the recipes you saw is what type of cuisine?

    1. But have you eaten raw onions in Cantonese cuisine as in those chap fan stalls, have you encountered raw onions? I am ok with raw onions too, because often eat them with satay.
Just seldom seen them used in Cantonese dishes.

    2. I think nowadays our local canto cuisine is very much fusionized, so it's not uncommon anymore. Some chapfan stalls got sell thai style tofu/fish/chicken also put raw onion, so no fuss.
