Beef Portobello Pie

On Thursday 5.jun.2025, went to visit the elderly and then to the food merchant wcity OUG for food. At near midnight, went to visit the elderly again to meet up with the 24x7 house call MD.

11.44 am - they prepared braised minced pork rice LU Rou fan in error instead of nasi lemak pork rendang as in the receipt and told us that it is more expensive than the nasi lemak hoping that we would accept it but we wanted to try the pork rendang so we said please send us what we have paid for even though it is the lesser price item. He suspects that coconut oil is used for the rice because it was very fragrant.

LU Rou rice MYR 24.90 nett, according to the menu of Euro Deli stall.

As the stall just opened at about 8 am, there were many customers waiting for their orders so we waited for 30 minutes for our order. I think they need more staff.

11.44 am - I bought iced coffee MYR 5.80 nett from tsh nyonya stall.

11.55 am - my portion 

12.02 noon - the Euro Deli stall 

12.02 noon - counter to place food orders

12.26 noon - we bought takeaway siew yuk aka roast pork MYR 29.90 nett from the same Euro Deli stall for his early dinner.

12.43 noon - at 11.51 am, I went to buy takeaway from the Kenny Hills Coffee eatery at the same food merchant wcity OUG place. Takeaway because the car is parked under the hot sun in the foc open air car park so we wanted to go home quickly.

I bought takeaway:

1. Beef portobello pie MYR 29+

2. Peach strudel MYR 18+

3. Iced long black MYR 13+

Up size to large MYR 2+

Total MYR 65.70 nett

The cashier asked me whether or not to heat up the pie and I replied no need thanks. I prefer eating the pie at room temperature.

12.43 noon - their peach strudel is a must eat

12.49 noon - after removing the top layer

1.13 noon - cubes of tender beef in the pie. It is the Best beef pie I have ever eaten 😋 the short crust pastry pie shell is very buttery 😋

Retained 250g of water because ate too much good food 😋

12 noon - takeaway siew yuk roast pork euro deli MYR 29.90 nett.

12.05 midnight the doctor's car

11.02 pm - found this online because the carers say the elderly needed medical attention because not feeling well and has a fever.

Next morning the carers reported that the elderly is feeling ok.
