Star Apple Cainito Caimito

On Tuesday 24.jun.2025, gave my friend 3 local Cameron highlands organic avocado to try.

3.53 pm - my friend sent me this photo and told me that it is soft smooth with a light fragrant aftertaste.

7.54 am - in the morning, we ate one local avocado each and I cut through the seed of the one on the right. Diameter is about 2.5 to 3 inches.

7.54 am - ripe local avocados have almost purplish red skin.

7.55 am - image search thought that the ripe local avocados are star apples aka cainito aka caimito. I have never seen star apples before.

On Monday 23.jun.2025, he cooked daikon pork ribs soup so we didn't go out at all and I get to sleep in till 10.30 am.

12.35 noon - bought 2kg of local organic avocado online via shop-i from Cameron Highlands, about MYR 25 after deducting online vouchers and shop-i coins. Size is about 2.5 to 3.5 inches diameter. They are packed securely in a box padded with foams and shredded paper.

12.39 noon - 2kg local avocado which amounts to 10 avocados. One is very ripe so had to be eaten immediately. We ate 3 local ripe avocado and 1 Kenya avocado today.

1.34 pm - the top local avocado is very ripe. Their seeds are bigger than Oz hass avocado. The taste is lighter too.

3.07 pm - after eating the avocado, I ate the dried jujube snack and 4 remaining licorice kumquat bought from Bestore PBJ on Tues 27may2025.

After eating the licorice kumquat, the aftertaste in my mouth is very nice so I decided not to drink any soup, leaving the soup for the next day and declared my Omad is completed for this day.

Ginger Dip Chicken Rice

On Sunday 22.jun.2025, ate brunch at Nanyang Old Street Cafe Taman Desa and then went to Jaya Grocer the Gardens mall to buy groceries.

9.19 am - he ordered chicken thigh rice MYR 14.90 nett instead of nasi lemak. It has a tasty ginger paste dip and a tablespoon of acar. He says the chicken thigh is tasty.

9.38 am - I didn't eat any of the chicken. Just a bit of chicken rice, acar and soup.

9.22 am - we also ordered:

1. Sandwich which I request for no mayo 8.9

2. Eggs 4.2

3. Butter kaya Toast 4.2

4. Kopi C kosong cold 4

5. Hot small Hainan coffee 3.1

I was too full to eat anything in Midvalley Mall which is a pity to go to Midvalley Mall and not eat anything. When home, I ate all the remaining lychees, about 12 of them while he ate 2.

On Saturday 21.jun.2025, went to Giant Desa Petaling to buy MYR 2 nett for one avocado so ate breakfast at Yi Hao Cha Shi before eating lunch at a new eatery in ssg named WaTaiwan which took over the shop vacated by Yat Sing Smokehouse:

1. Salt pepper fried pork chop lurou rice MYR 24.90++

2. Oyster fried egg MYR 15.90++

I like the taste and texture of the lean pork chop. The oyster fried egg is of those crispy type for those customers who prefer non starchy type.

12.03 noon - this Vegetables only omelette roll has a bit too much mayo at both ends so next time I will request for no mayo. They have many types of omelette rolls, some with ham and some with cheese.

12.07 noon - a free sausage for a review.

12.14 noon - my portion, more rice 🍚 than I expected but in order not to waste, I stuffed all the rice into my tummy. After this heavy meal, I walked to collect delivered items from the pickup point.

On Friday 20.jun.2025, it was raining in the morning. Just as well because yesterday night he mentioned having lunch at C plus cafe pinnacle condo Sri Petaling.

PH's Friday 13jun2025 article mentioned Baskin Robbins mini ice cream pancakes so I made a note to try it if I happened to be at a Baskin Robbins store.

10.58 am - this branch has the mini ice cream pancakes

10.47 am - they allow two flavours of ice cream so I select very berry strawberry and chocolate trilogy. Very small scoop each. MYR 9.90 nett.

10.48 am - top view. They put lots of strawberries jam with real strawberries as toppings before drizzling lots of chocolate sauce on top of the strawberry jam.

10.49 am - real strawberries in the sauce and ice cream 😋 there are two round pancakes on each side.

With this ice cream pancakes I completed my meal for this day.

On Thursday 19.jun.2025, went to eat chapfan no rice for brunch.

Right: pumpkins, taros, broccoli 🥦, tofu and yin choy green amaranth

On Wednesday 18.jun.2025, went to pass the clothes to my friend and then went to Yi Hao Cha Shi eatery which is in the same building as Giant supermarket in Desa Petaling.

11.16 am - we waited from 10.23 am till 11.05 am for this ramen stall to open, just for this bowl of garlic oil ramen noodles MYR 14 nett which he read online is very tasty which it is for this price. Instead of pork, they use chicken instead.

11.24 am - my portion.

10.36 am - toasts, eggs, coffee set MYR 7.90 nett. He also ordered pepper stomach misua soup with very peppery soup.

10.52 am - my portion 

11.34 am - I drank all of both types of soup without feeling thirsty.

10.23 am - Yi hao Cha shi eatery located on the top floor aka 4th floor aka 3A floor of plaza Salak park, desa petaling.

After our brunch, we went downstairs to Giant supermarket to buy some groceries. In front of Giant is subway eatery so I bought a beef cheese wrap.

2.42 pm - beef cheese all vege no sauce wrap MYR 16.95 nett. I requested for no sauce at all.

2.33 pm - the wrap skin dough is a bit salty, I would prefer it to be less salty.

12.40 noon - I peeled 4 lychees for him. 

1.04 pm - I ate 12 lychees. There are 20 lychees remaining. There are 41 lychees in total for 1 kg.
