Fish Skin Wanton Fei Dip

On Saturday 6.may.2023, went out twice: lunch at swee heng coffee shop and bought dinner takeaway from Fatty Mixed Rice Sri Petaling.

10.13 am - I saw a new stall selling fish balls and fish skin wantons at swee heng coffee shop so I bought one bowl without any noodles because I will put the remaining cold mihun hor fun I brought to the shop from my fridge that he bought from Mountain hill stall on Tuesday into my bowl. For MYR 9 nett, my bowl contains plain clear soup, 5 fish skin wantons, 5 fish balls, coriander, bean sprouts and tong choy.

The stall owner called this fish skin wantons Fei Dip in Cantonese. I searched online and found this description in shopee as shown in the photo below:

飞碟 means flying saucer aka UFO 

The iced Hainan char drink MYR 3.2 is a mix of tea and coffee.

Fish skin wantons aka fei dip aka flying saucer sold on shopee. It says to cook and eat in 3 days. Do not put in freezer. Just put in chiller will do.

10.18 am - he bought dry wanton Mee with pork trotter MYR 11 and I ate a bit, it tastes strongly of anise star and is on the sweet side. For the elderlies' lunch, he bought:

11.28 am - from swee hing coffee shop, bought a roll of mung bean biscuits Ban Heang MYR 4.8 for 5 biscuits.

11.30 am - the 5 mung bean biscuits are placed in a plastic bag before being rolled up and wrapped up using paper. They are quite light and have a significant stir fried shallots oil taste. He ate 1 and I ate 4 at one go.

5 pm - he bought 3 packs of chapfan dinner from Fatty Mixed Rice Sri Petaling for the Elderlies and himself.

1.40 pm - received sad news that the elderly's youngest brother who is 15 years younger than him has passed away suddenly early Saturday morning, fainted at night during shower time in the bathroom on Friday and was only discovered by the spouse at 0330 the next morning when already passed away, just after eating hotpot steamboat with the whole family in a restaurant, just returned from a vacation to Vietnam, was on insulins so not on diet management, was considering a heart bypass procedure but didn't set time yet for it. So sad that it is one step too late, so unexpected. 😭
