1 Utama Shopping Centre general manager Patrick So revealed that they drew inspiration from a picture that captured a spider spinning its web during winter.
“The approach we had was based on an environmental aspect.
“Of course, Christmas is all about having family members coming together, but we want to send the message out that we should also be thankful and appreciative of nature’s beauty and its unique creations,” he explained.

Can you see the spider webs?
I like these moss covered rocks because they look like matcha chocolate truffles.
It is fun to walk below these giant poinsettias. It feels like walking in a magic forest.
**********
This is the rojak van. The canopy is blue in colour but somehow from this angle, the blue colour cannot be seen and it looked greyish. I did not try the rojak because I was already full and I can't order takeaway because I was going to walk around the new Starling mall so it is not convenient to carry a bag of rojak gravy to go window shopping. Next time then.
This is the name on the van. If you manage to read it, it says "Rojak Utama".
Haha the rocks look like matcha truffles, thought the same as you when I first saw the pic
ReplyDeleteRight! :)
DeleteSaw in another blog. All that red made me think of Chinese New Year.
ReplyDeleteThat would be submerryn's blog I believe.
DeleteHaha. The rocks do looked like macha truffles.
ReplyDeleteI could see the web.
They did the web very well!
DeleteThe Starling Mall is open already? I haven't gone to explore yet.
ReplyDeleteI went inside and their interior looks awesome like the award winning mall Central Embassy in Bangkok!! I think we copied their concept somewhere.
DeleteThe shops are still empty & yet to open though all tenanted already and it was so dusty until my wife nearly had asthma attack. LOL
Open at the end of Nov but the shops are still under renovations like what TM says above.
DeleteWhen all the shops are open you can go jalan jalan there during lunch time, PH. :)
DeleteI wanna laugh as I also thought their moss balls looked like matcha chocolate truffles!!
ReplyDeleteI like to buy the Texas chicken and sliced them to eat with my ready-salad greens. So yummy and good for dieting!
Truffles yum yum! You are smart to get the meat for your salad greens from Texas chicken. What about the rojak van?
