Scrambled Eggs on Croissant

Finally we dropped by Antipodean Cafe again for the bacon and scrambled egg on croissant as mentioned in this post during our visit previously.

Scrambled Eggs on Croissant (with Bacon) - MYR19 - we could have it with sausages instead of the bacon. It was delicious until I was halfway through and had enough. Then it was a laborious task going on to finish the rest but I did finish it all. Just love eating the rocket leaves that have a nutty taste. Can you see the rocket leaves underneath the eggs?

This bacon is made of pork loin. Normally in America, when you refer to bacon, those bacon are made of pork belly strips.

Just as before we also ordered the Big Breakfast with Bacon and Mushrooms - MYR20 and a cup of Flat White (coffee) - MYR9 (no photo). Total bill came up to MYR55.70 for two persons after 10% service charge and 6% govt. tax.

Too much for me but don't feel nice sharing one main meal as there are many people queuing for seats here and I did not bring my food container on this day.

  1. Scrambled Eggs on Croissant (with Bacon) looks good but the croissant does not look like the usual shape? I would prefer the scrambled to be very much creamier though.

    1. So you like the western way of putting milk to prepare your scrambled eggs?

  2. Oh my! Breakfast looks so so good! I can finish everything by myself, no issues! Although I cook scrambled eggs almost all the time, I bet eating scrambled eggs cooked by others will taste nicer.. I love all those bacon and their fragrant fats too..

    1. Hahaha I like the way you think. Ask your husband to cook scrambled eggs for you. Will it taste better than those you cook? :)

  3. Isn't this what they call back bacon? Anyway, bacon is still bacon regardless of which part of the pork it is made of, and bacon will always be delicious :D

    1. Back bacon is part pork belly and part loin. This one does not seem to have the belly part.

    1. I think after you take half you can still have some room for dessert.

  7. Wow. I don't usually spend so much for breakfast. Normally will just eat fruits and nuts and a cup of hot drink.

  8. Interesting! Is it like Canadian bacon? I know their bacon is round but I don't know which part of the pig it comes from.

  9. Yes, I like to eat rocket as well. And yes, they use back bacon here as opposed to streaky bacon in US (which I prefer more). The next time you're here, do try having the pork sausages instead of bacon as it tastes better in my opinion (although may be a tad on the saltier side). 1. I find the bacon salty as it is so I most probably can't stand the saltiness of the sausages.
