New Lucky Bakuteh

On Monday 7.feb.22, kid 1 resumed her regular duty for lunch only as week days dinner catering is back on. We ate food from the fridge and he ordered one food delivery.

7.12 am - his breakfast of beef brisket broad wanton noodles soup bought from a stall in Tuck Tuck Tei coffee shop Taman Desa on Sunday at about MYR 8.50 with 5 frozen sui gao from a long time ago. Need to start clearing food from the freezer now.

He kept a small portion for me and I find that the beef brisket is tasty so will continue to buy it from that stall.

As we have remaining economy rice from Sunday, we bought new lucky Bakuteh food delivery. With MYR 10 off by using extraong promo code, the total price is MYR 15.40 only, a very good price. The thigh meat is flavourful and tender. Very tasty!

Stalls are still Closed

On Sunday 6.feb.22, kid 1 is still doing replacement duty and sending lunch and dinner to the Elderlies so we just need to buy our own food. As with every Sunday, we went to Taman Desa after 6 days of staying at home for me. Sepetang coffee shop is still closed for cny and the economy rice stall of Tuck Tuck Tei coffee shop is also closed so we bought food from other stalls. We also bought 4 types of drinks from the coffee food truck.

He ate this Kraft's wholemeal red bean Pao for breakfast. It is not that sweet and there are whole red beans in the red bean paste fillings for a different texture. We bought many packs of frozen Kraft's wholemeal yam Pao for the elderlies because one of them love to eat it as it is not that sweet and the yam paste fillings taste good.

Bought these curry puffs from a roadside stall. 3 for MYR 5 so it is a good price.

The pastry crust is layered and crispy but oily. The potatoes fillings are on the sweet side with a tiny piece of hard boiled egg in it. Not spicy at all. Quite nice to eat considering the price.

Since the usual economy rice stall is still closed, I bought this economy rice from Sing Kee Kitchen. Okra, bitter gourd, brinjal, one braised egg, one piece of braised tofu and 2 portion of small rice at MYR 11 nett.

Saw this sign. Supposed to be a bargain price at MYR 1.08 m !!?? Inflation is really high I guess.

Nasi Kerabu Golok

On Saturday 5.feb.22, kid 1 is doing replacement duty to provide lunch and dinner for the elderlies so we get to stay at home the whole day.

12.30 noon - nasi Kerabu ayam percik.  Tasty! I like to eat the raw beansprouts with salted egg. 

All the food we bought using grab hotdeals from nasi Kerabu Golok. The daging aka beef has a very nice deep smokey taste and I would say that it is a salty smokey beef jerky because it is very firm and on the hard side.

Good price I would say for two main dishes.

On Friday 4.feb.22, kid 1 is back to resume duty to provide lunch and dinner for the Elderlies so we just stayed home and ordered two food deliveries. I have been lax in getting good deals for food deliveries. Luckily from reading PH's articles, I am reminded that Grab is providing hotdeals up to a max of MYR 12.50 off for a purchase of MYR 25 for selected eateries. The end date is mid Feb 2022 and there is a limited of 6 times usage within the offer duration.

10.08 am - petai char kway teow with petai, wax sausages, prawns and cockles. Tasty but a bit too spicy for us. He ate only a few mouthfuls because it was too spicy for him. I ate the remaining portion.

5.40 pm - nyonya basil minced pork rice. He ate this rice for dinner with the hot sour mustard leaves dish from Good Taste bought yesterday. He cooked napa cabbage with siew yuk from Good Taste bought yesterday and ate a bowl of it.

7.43 pm - I ate a bowl of napa cabbages. So delicious with natural sweet taste.

9.53 am - two meals for MYR 16.50 only inclusive of delivery fees because of the hotdeals promo code providing MYR 12.50 off. What a good deal!

*** Pak Ali eatery Kuchai Lama ***

11.26 am - ordered drinks this round. The beef rendang tomato rice tastes good. The beef could be softer though. The 3 drinks are nscf, teh Tarik and coffee Tarik.

Used the hotdeals to get MYR 12.50 off. The coffee Tarik MYR 3.90 is hidden under the more details segment. There are 4 more hotdeals promo code. Will I be able use all of them before they expire? 

Just one visit

On Thursday 3.feb.22, it was just one visit for him. He went over with lunch for the Elderlies and we ordered food via Foodpanda to be delivered dinner directly to the Elderlies.

5.40 pm - our dinner of blanched broccoli bought from pandamart a few days ago and instant noodles with the remaining char siew from afternoon's good taste eatery and the remaining final portion of the beef tendon pork trotter dish bought from Rue Ee restaurant on Sunday. I ate the broccoli only with a slice of bread to wipe all the gravy in the pot.

Ordered food for the elderlies and us from Good taste eatery in Taman Desa. One pack of char siew wanton noodles and one pack of siew yuk wanton noodles for the Elderlies. He also cooked a pack of frozen 5 sui gao with prawns fillings bought from Sanbanto. He ate one and the Elderlies ate two each. The prawn suit gao tastes good.

For our lunch, we ate all remaining duck from the travelling duck bought yesterday with the mustard greens rice from Good Taste eatery with some char siew and some siew yuk.

4.40 pm - ordered these two Dan jor rice for the elderlies to be delivered directly to them. Luckily the extraong promo code is still available so managed to get MYR 10 off.

I have been staying at home from Monday till Thursday. My friends recommend this drama series for me to watch. It is available on ntflx. There are about 50 episodes. I wonder should I watch it.

Travelling Duck

On Wednesday 2.feb.22, it was the same for him as Monday and Tuesday, 2 trips per day to the Elderlies.

12.37 noon - one whole roasted duck from The Travelling Duck eatery in Tropicana Gardens Mall at MYR 128 nett. This duck is said to be the wagyu duck. The meat is tender and juicy lightly marinated.

Food for us and the elderlies from Tradisi Kopitiam which we have bought from, a few times.

Use extraong promo code for MYR 10 off. The fish ball noodles and curry chicken Mee dishes are for the elderlies. They say that the portion of noodles are a lot but they ate them all, no wastage.

Bought bread for the elderlies. I used up all 4 of the extra35 promo code so I used the last one of two of the verysorry e-voucher that I received for late delivery.

6.21 pm - he cooked two boneless chicken thighs and Vegetables bean curd sheets for the Elderlies. The 3 of them ate dinner together.

Gong Teng Dim Sum Delivery

 On Tuesday 1.feb.22, it was the same as the previous day. Two trips to the elderlies to prepare lunch and dinner.

1.31 pm - my lunch of 3 yam puffs. The yam paste is tasty. There are many fatty pieces in the fillings which I spat out.

Ordered this dim sum because other dim sum eateries are closed on day 1 cny. Used promo code extraong to get MYR 10 off.

4.48 pm - my dinner of 3 lava salted egg yolk custard baos. They replaced the lo mai Kai with these 3 baos that cost MYR 6. Taste is good. There are 3 char siew Baos which he ate and I didn't take any photos of the char siew baos.

11.30 am - his vegetarian lunch with the elderlies at home.

Bought this large vegetarian dish from Rue Ee restaurant on Sunday at MYR 29 nett and he reheated it for their lunch, to be eaten with rice.

6.17 pm - he reheated up the yam pork dish bought from Lucky Alley stall and blanched iceberg lettuce to be eaten with rice for the Elderlies.
