Because I can't get enough of cendol when I was in Penang, I ordered cendol in KL with more ice and chee cheong fun (rolled up rice noodle) with the prawn paste sauce to be served separately to share between the two of us. Then they forgot to give me additional ice (foc) in the cendol so they served the extra ice in a separate bowl.
Chee Cheong Fun (rolled up rice noodles) in Penang style with prawn paste sauce and sesame seeds.
Both the items cost the same each at MYR6.50 nett. A much higher price than eating at road side hawker stalls but then for convenience and comfort sake, they are worth it.

Lemon Koay Teow Soup
Recently I heard about this stall that sells Lemon Koay Teow Soup in Penang although it seems that it has been there for quite a while. This post is to remind me to try this lemon soup the next time I go to Penang.
In case you can't find it on the stall's signboard. It says "Lemon Koay Teow Soup". I wonder whether or not I will like its taste.

New Set Meal
Both of us ordered the above food to share at 10.30 am in the morning as brunch.
This Saba Miso rice and soup is part of a set meal at the price of MYR21.90 nett. It is a new item in the set meal menu.
For the drink that is included in the set lunch, we chose a pot of hot Karigane tea which is a twig green tea. In the photo above, I have removed the tea bag from the pot for a better look at it.
This is my favourite green tea food product mainly because the green tea slushy is not sweet so it complements the slightly sweet and creamy green tea ice cream. MYR16.10 nett. I eat at Nana's green tea mainly because I want to eat this green tea slushy from the ala carte menu.
The total bill came up to MYR38 because there is no service charge. The price listed in their menu is the nett price but in the bill, the price listed is the price before the application of the 6% GST.
Please click on the above set meal menu for a larger image. There are more sets on this menu now as compared to the set menu in year 2014. Set C Sweet and Sour Fish and Set D Saba Miso are both newly added to this menu.

Casual Dining
Herbal Dang Gui (Angelica sinensis) Duck Mi Suah - MYR13.80++ (MYR16.10 nett). There were only 3 pieces of duck with meat on bones. Taste is acceptable but too little duck meat.
Braised pork ribs with peanuts - MYR8.80++ (MYR10.25 nett). The texture of the rice is almost like Japanese rice - firm yet soft enough, the grains stick together yet each grain is still keeping its shape individually so it is very tasty. The menu says it is Calrose rice.
This eatery is located at Kuchai Entrepreneur Park, Jalan Kuchai Maju 9 with the name "来来红烧牛肉面" in chinese and "Lai Lai Casual Dining" in english. It is from Singapore and has some value-for-money sets that included drinks in the set but we ordered ala carte instead without ordering any drinks so the price seems to be on the higher end for the amount of food we get.
Update: 11 March 2018. The shop above is no longer operating in the above location. It has been replaced by a Nasi Kandar eatery as shown below.

A bowl of hot soy milk with you tiao (chinese cruller) at MYR5.60 nett as compared to MYR4.60 nett previously. We also bought a serving of tapioca balls (5 balls) to share for MYR3.70 nett.

The Usual
6 Xiao Long Bao in a bamboo basket per serving - MYR8.5++ (MYR9.90 nett). Taste is acceptable.
Pork chop noodle - MYR15.90++ (MYR18.55 nett). Price is on the high side because we ordered it from the ala carte menu. Some people may feel that the pork chop is too dry and hard but I like it so we almost always order this pork chop as can be seen in this previous post.
We wanted to eat some greens so we ordered a small portion of stirfry broccoli and prawn dish for MYR21.00++ (MYR24.50 nett). There are 5 prawns in total. Good enough to fulfill my need for greens.
A glass of herbal drink at MYR4.50++ (MYR5.25 nett) and a bowl of Tofu Fah (soy bean) at MYR3.50++ (MYR4.10 nett) to share by two pax at Esquire Kitchen, Endah Parade, Sri Petaling.
We try not to eat here if we can help it due to the higher price as compared to the other neighbourhood eateries but somehow we find ourselves here eating almost the same food once in a while. The fact that it is still operating in the same location after so many years means that there are many people like us who kept coming back for more.
