10.05 am - my portion of Sarawak laksa with two braised eggs. The two braised eggs are bought from the chapfan stall MYR 1.50 each.
We shared a plastic glass of cold cham MYR 3.50 nett.
The tub of sun sweet prunes made in Chile, is bought from spdmrt99. The price tag says MYR 19.90 nett but after paying and walking back I only found out they billed me for MYR 19.95 nett. My mistake for not checking at the cashier counter so I didn't go back to point out this error. Just forgo the 5 cents.
10.08 am - he also ordered steamed chicken rice MYR 9 nett. I helped him to finish the rice by eating half of it but I didn't eat any of the chicken nor beansprouts.
*** Ye Tian Bkt Sri Petaling ***
10.45 am - he bought takeaway phoenix claws aka chicken feet MYR 13 nett from ye Tian Bkt shop. He ate all of them while I only ate one mushroom cut into two. The gravy is bak kut teh mushrooms gravy, not fermented black bean sauce gravy.
From online:
"Phoenix claws aka ้ณณ็ช Fรจng zhuว are a popular Cantonese dim sum dish consisting of deep-fried, then braised chicken feet known for their tender, gelatinous texture and savory, umami-rich flavor. They are typically marinated in a fermented black bean sauce, appearing puffy from frying before being steamed."
2.41 pm - we shared one greenskin avocado ๐ฅ which has very thin skin that breaks easily when we are scooping out the avocado meat with a spoon. I ate half of the ๐ฅ with a slice of wholemeal bread. Before that I ate two bananas ๐

ReplyDeleteIn response to your question on my blog, the first flowers to bloom here in Montreal are tulips ๐ท and daffodils, but there may be more.
I haven't seen any yet because the temperature today was just 2, but it is slowly increasing.
I will share some photos on my blog as I come across any flowers.
I like tulips ๐ท but they don't grow here ๐ข
DeleteAwww....sorry to hear this. They are lovely flowers.
DeleteDear Linda, there is only a few places in cool Highlands here that grow tulips. One of them is Cameron Highlands which locals will travel there on holidays to go for a cool vacation but I seldom get to go there. Yes, I agree that tulips are lovely flowers.
DeleteNive food as usual, luckily I have already had a good full lunch hah..hah... I have never eaten avocado by itself. Usually with eggs.
ReplyDeleteThey taste good on their own but I prefer to eat them with bread ๐ ๐ ๐ฅ
DeleteDoes the greenskin avocado have a brand?
