Midvalley The Nasi Lemak Shop

On Tuesday 30.sep.2025, went to Nam Heong pinnacle for breakfast with guest and then go to Midvalley mall to eat lunch at The Nasi Lemak Shop which opens today.

11.08 am - I ordered lontong nasi impit MYR 16.90++ which is very tasty 😋 there are two pieces of sambal sotong aka squid with lots of vegetables and tempeh. Will definitely order this dish again.

He ordered nasi lemak fried chicken MYR 16.90++

Add on one fried chicken whole leg MYR 10.90++ for the guest and beef rendang MYR 12.90++ to share.

Total MYR 80.75 nett and they gave us a voucher for buy one get one free nasi lemak fried chicken valid during weekdays from 3 pm to 6 pm expiry date 7oct2025.

10.50 am - the nasi lemak shop opens today with many bouquets of congratulations flowers.

12.46 noon - bought one mango sago pomelo sticky rice roll MYR 8.90 nett and one steamed hawthorn cake roll MYR 8.90 nett for the guest to try. Each roll is cut into 4 pieces shared by 3 pax. The above photo shows the remaining pieces. Not that sweet so is very tasty 😋

12.51 noon - noticed that Temple Street eatery has changed the name to Sin Man Kee.

2.01 pm - washroom break so I waited at CU after buying one lime vanilla ice cream MYR 1.80 nett from CU. He bought a glass of cold long black about MYR 7 from CU.

Our breakfast:

8.26 am - ordered two promo breakfast sets MYR 6.50 nett, one set for him and one set for the guest.

8.27 am - one portion of president butter toast MYR 4++ for me and one basket of 3 siew Mai MYR 7++ for him and the guest.

8.27 am - the president butter toasts have thick butter slabs as fillings compared to the promo set toasts with thinly spread melted butter.

On Monday 29.sep.2025, went to Yitcha Kaw Kaw for brunch and bought some items from a nearby pharmacy in the same row of shops.

Then at 4 pm, went to pick up the elderly for dinner gathering at 6 pm at Grand Harbour pavilion bukit jalil. I watched 9 of them eat dinner and I didn't eat didn't drink anything because I completed my omad before 12 noon.

9.01 am - nasi lemak zhar yuk MYR 15.90++

I ordered 2 hard boiled eggs MYR 1.50 each.

9.04 am - breakfast set of toasts, eggs and 2 soft boiled eggs MYR 10.90++

Total: MYR 34.55 nett. 

Completed my omad with this brunch.

Foodie Foodie Kuchai Lama

On Sunday 28.sep.2025, early morning, went to yi hao kopitiam for brunch and then in the afternoon, went to the new food court in kuchai Lama to try the volcano pork ribs aka Leng Zaap.

8.49 am - he ordered prawns noodles soup MYR 10 nett.

8.59 am - hot cham and two soft boiled eggs. Two items total MYR 8.50 nett.

We bought eggs from giant supermarket and back home he fried two eggs because one of the egg has a hairline crack. I ate one fried egg with two slices of wholemeal bread and two ripe bananas.

*** Foodie Food Court Kuchai Lama ***

2.55 pm - he bought the smallest portion of volcano pork ribs MYR 23.90 nett. I didn't eat these ribs at all.

3.16 pm - it is the part of ribs connected to the backbone so there are a lot of bones.

2.41 pm - this area is just half of the foodie foodie food court in kuchai Lama. Free Parking for 1st hour and he managed to finish his food within one hour so we got free parking. I didn't eat anything.

A very long day

On Saturday 27.sep.2025, went to million ocean for brunch but no seats were available so walked to Hakka yin and then to Big Eye. Then it rained quite heavily at 1 pm. After that, friends picked us up from Sri Petaling to go to Bamboo Hills, segambut kl.

9.03 am - he ordered curry noodles and hot Cham drink.

9.36 am - I ordered herbal eggs MYR 5 nett for 3 eggs and to share one bowl of hot mung beans sweet potatoes sweet soup dessert MYR 6.60 nett.

3.20 pm - our friend ordered one slice of burnt cheese cake which we all ate one scoop each.

He ordered hot lemon grass tea

Two glasses of plain water were provided by default 

3.37 pm - I was hungry so I ordered Beef Rigatoni MYR 38++

Pulled beef brisket in tomato puree toppings shaved grana padano

I like the sourish taste of the tomato gravy

One friend gave all 6 a treat.

5.10 pm - then we walked around the nice greenery to take photos. This Astana is an event space for rent.

5.59 pm - ordered two items to share by 6 pax but I just ate a bit of each.

Deep fried small shrimps and calamari MYR 55.80++

6.17 pm - Meaty Platter MYR 228.80++

Braised rendang beef short ribs and lamb cutlets 

I ate one slice of lamb which is too tough for my weak teeth. The beef is a bit better but I ate only a bit.

Both of us ordered a glass of iced long black MYR 14++ each. 

Total price for 6 drinks and two food items is MYR 406 shared by 3 parties.

My friend sent us back to Sri Petaling. Got home by 9 pm. I was totally spent so I won't be eating anything after 3 pm at the next gathering.
