Nasi Lemak Banjir Hock Kee

On Saturday 16.aug.2025, went to Nexus bangsar south again because want to redeem the foc chicken Katsu from ma Maison the sphere which is only applicable on weekends. Ma Maison opens at 11 am and we were there at 10 am so we ate some food at Hock Kee Kopitiam as breakfast before eating lunch at Ma Maison.

*** Hock Kee Kopitiam Nexus ***

10.33 am - nasi lemak banjir MYR 26.90++ where the curry gravy is provided separately in a small stainless steel jug for customers to banjir their rice. I like the curry gravy because it is creamy and not spicy hot but flavourful with curry spices.

The squid onion tomato sambal tastes of the sea and the squid is tender enough. The acar is sourish and appetising.

10.32 am - two soft boiled eggs MYR 4.20++
Hot coffee mixed tea less sugar MYR 4.50++
The hot drink is accompanied by 3 small fish biscuits.

10.42 am - we ordered pumpkin paste kaya butter toasts again MYR 4.50++
Total MYR 46.50 nett.

After this breakfast, we walked to Aeon supermarket to look for things to buy before eating lunch.

*** Tonkatsu by Ma Maison The Sphere ***

11.42 am - I ordered wafu negi hire set with multigrain rice MYR 37++
Redeemed the foc chicken katsu set for him and requested for the rice to be omitted because he didn't want to eat rice again after the breakfast. The usual price of this chicken katsu set is MYR 30.90++ but it is foc with the coupon we received from them on our previous visit.
Total MYR 42.90 nett.

12.27 noon - the konyaku dessert which is part of the set. There was no dessert during our previous visit. I think they left it out or ran out of stock.

After this lunch, we walked back to the supermarket to buy eggs. Basement parking at Nexus is MYR 2 nett per entry for the whole day during weekends.

At about 4 pm, I ate some cherries 🍒 and orange 🍊 to complete my meals for this day.

Morning 44.70
Next morning 44.75
Retained 50g water because didn't drink much coffee ☕

*** The End ***

    1. The pumpkin paste is stand alone, not incorporated into the kaya so they just spread kaya, butter and a layer of pumpkin paste or u can call it pumpkin jam as the fillings. Same concept as taro paste, kaya butter toasts
Too many Kopitiam now so have to be innovative to create toasts with a variety of fillings. Hock Kee Kopitiam has many branches. Perhaps u can try a branch near u if u r interested. Have a good weekend 😊
