On Monday 2.dec.2024, I woke up at 9.30 am so he ate breakfast at home. Then I suggested to him that we go eat lunch at a place that only opens at 11 am so he decided on Charlie's cafe in Taman Bukit Desa, famous for their award winning chicken chop.

11.21 am - Sarawak laksa. Flavourful spices, not that spicy.
11.22 am - award winning chicken chop. Crispy batter coatings and tender meat 👍 😋
He ordered and paid using grab so there is a 20% off total bill.
12.51 noon - Charlie's cafe is the shop below the Daikin shop sign.
*** Encore cafe Taman Desa ***
As Charlie's cafe and encore cafe are located in the same area, I suggested that we go to encore cafe for mini tarts and coffee.
12.06 noon - 1 mini tart for MYR 6, 6 mini tarts for MYR 30 so I ordered 6 mini tarts and took 3 home.
The yuzu, chocolate and apple mini tarts are very tasty 😋
Chocolate truffle. Very rich chocolatey
My ice long black and his hot flat white
Total amount is about MYR 70 ish.
12.49 noon - dessert counter and🎄
Took 3 mini tarts home after eating the fruits on top of them.

Ice long black and herbal jelly got rid of 250g water 😁

3.29 pm - both of us shared and ate the 3 of 3 remaining tub of herbal jelly from Hock Hua.

DeleteI thought that area hard to find parking, especially on weekdays. I m interested with the award winning chicken chop, but it looks like deep fried chicken chop aka "ayam gunting". Does it serve with gravy?
ReplyDeleteYes, you can choose black pepper gravy or curry gravy. We select curry gravy.
DeleteSurprisingly when we were there just before 11 am, there are plenty of valid roadside parking.
