No more yam

On Saturday 26.oct.2024, I suggested going to Soon Lei eatery since on Thursday night he said he wanted to eat the yam in the fish noodles soup in Soon Lei.

12.16 noon - I also ate one third of this loaf of banana cake and found it to be sticky and too sweet for me.

11.34 am - I also ate one quarter of this pandan chiffon cake which is soft and not too sweet.

Sang Har Mee Hoon Soup

On Friday 25.oct.2024, he planned to go to Soon Lei eatery to eat claypot fish mee hoon soup because he wants to eat the yam pieces in it but early in the morning at 6 am, he woke me up and asked me whether or not to go to Pudu ICC to eat fresh water prawns mee hoon soup so I got up and we reached pudu icc at about 7 am.

7.15 am - he ordered fresh water prawn aka sang har mihun soup MYR 23 and added deep fried fish fillets MYR 5 so total is MYR 28 from Tom noodles stall.

7.53 am - Ah Weng Kor toasts, eggs and coffee set MYR 11.20 nett. We drank hot coffee the previous trip which was not that sweet. This time I ordered iced coffee and it was very very sweet so hot coffee tastes better.

I completed Omad at 8.30 am so I didn't eat the chicken soup below.

On Thursday 24.oct.2024, went to Pavilion Bukit Jalil and then stopped by TK Bakery Sri Petaling because I wanted to use up the 20% discount valid for one month from my previous purchase. While at Sri Petaling I suddenly decide to walk to M Light eatery to buy a small portion of chicken soup mixian for his early dinner.

2.55 pm - tk bakery chicken pie. The pastry crust is crunchy and powdery. Overall taste is on the sweet side. Taste acceptable.

2. Banana cake, too sweet and too sticky dense MYR 9.30

On Wednesday 23.oct.2024, his item is scheduled to be delivered on this day so he chose a coffee shop nearby Ho Yu Kee that we haven't been to, for brunch. He chose all the food and I helped him to eat all the remaining food.

8.44 am - curry noodles, not spicy, just thick, creamy and flavourful.

8.44 am - his hot cham drink and dry wanton noodles with pork belly multilayered fats char siew. I ate most of the wanton noodles because he was full after eating half the curry noodles and all the char siew because I don't want to eat the layers of fats that were difficult to separate from the layers of lean meat. I ate the dry wanton noodles by soaking them in the curry gravy soup of the curry noodles.

8.50 am - he also ordered soft boiled eggs.

Around 3 pm to 4 pm, ate the remaining 2 tea eggs from purple cane on Saturday with bread and 3 slices of Sri Karak kaya roll.

Tasty Braised Everything

On Tuesday 22.oct.2024, he chose to try out two eateries at Jalan Gelang, Pudu: Long Jiang Pork and Sun Fatt coffee shop. After that I walked to nearby Washington Cake House and bought one small container of sponge rusks and ola variety of baked goods for my friend.

After he has eaten the noodles at Sun Fatt Coffee Shop, he walked to nearby Long Jiang eatery to buy takeaway signature braised pork knuckles at MYR 19.80 per portion for his dinner. I preferred to dine in so I ordered 3 ala carte dishes to eat at the shop without rice, without congee and without noodles.

11.41 am - I like this tender braised pork ribs MYR 16.80 nett. Only 3 pieces.

11.27 am - there are 8 pots of braised every parts including ears and tongues.

11.42 am - I ordered ala carte 3 braised items: the ribs as mentioned above, tofu MYR 4 nett and livers MYR 10.80 nett. The livers we can detect wine in the braise gravy, just for the liver, we believe they added wine. We didn't ask them.

12.15 noon - I also bought takeaway for my friend so the total bill is MYR 177 nett. Please click on the above receipt to read the items and price.

My friend likes the flavourful braised items so will buy them again. The braise gravy made the meat and innards very tasty.

3.40 pm - I also bought takeaway braised stomach MYR 16.80 nett and nine turn large intestine MYR 19.80 nett. The 9-turn large intestine is soft and very tasty, without any strong intestine taste until I suspect it could be made from soy products. They also accidentally entered small intestines MYR 12.80 into our order so I decided to just accept and pay for it as they have already packed this item. I didn't order small intestine because I suspect my weak teeth won't be able to chew it. True enough the small intestines are very springy so I gave them to my friend.

3.40 pm - our takeaway items.

10.54 am - long Jiang eatery is at the further up block. Sun Fatt eatery is at the nearer block.

There are two rows of parking lots next to these blocks of building. Pay parking fees to the local council by HP app.

He ordered all the food at this Sun Fatt eatery, jalan gelang, Pudu.

11 am - smoked pork with dry lai fun noodles and iced coffee. I tried a bit of the pork and didn't find it smokey. The lai fun is very springy until I resorted to swallowing them because they are too springy for my weak teeth to chew. There are ample deep fried lard cubes as toppings.

11.01 am - he also ordered this petola or luffa gourd pork misua soup which I preferred due to the very soft and easy to eat misua.

Total price for both noodles is MYR 22.50 nett. The iced coffee is about MYR 3.70 I think.

10.55 am - Sun Fatt coffee shop is just right next to this corner coffee shop.

Very crunchy. Eat it just for fun.

On Monday 21.oct.2024, went to Ming Hin ssg for brunch. When home, received a message that requires doing an errand at Sri Petaling so I took the MRT feeder bus to Sri Petaling and then later he went to pinnacle condo to meet up with me. We ate some food before going back.

Feeder bus starts from the MRT station every 30 minutes on the hour and half hour so I walked out at 11.05 am to catch the 11 am bus which I estimate to reach my stop at 11.10 am but I must have missed it.

I finally got onto the bus at 11.46 am which should be the 11.30 am bus from the MRT station.

Got down opposite eco shop at 11.58 am and walked to the shops to do my errands.

On Sunday 20.oct.2024, went to Tea Garden Tasik Damai to use the buy 1 kaw kaw drink get 1 free voucher which expires end of October 2024. During our previous visit, we bought 1 kaw kaw drink and received this voucher to get 1 free kaw kaw drink on our next visit.

8.12 am - my lontong MYR 12.90++ with sayur lodeh and compressed rice. I like this dish because I like to eat soft vegetables and compressed rice.

8.14 am - he ordered nasi lemak chicken rendang MYR 16.90++ which we shared. Good value for money because it has appetising acar too. Next time I intend to order mutton nasi lemak.

8.13 am - cocoa toasts kaya butter MYR 5.50++ which is tasty.
