New eatery Sri Petaling

On Tuesday 10.feb.2026, went to a new eatery in Sri Petaling for omad at noon because this new eatery only opens at 12 noon. Parked car at pinnacle condo and walked to the new eatery.

Wah Yuen hq is in HK.

12.26 noon - mixed tarts MYR 10+

Egg tart pastry made with lard for him. After he ate half, he says that the egg custard fillings taste milky so I ate the remaining egg tart for him

Flowery egg tart pastry made with butter so it is for me.

12.28 noon - he chose hot aged tangerine peel red bean sweet soup MYR 7.90+

I chose hot walnut paste MYR 8.90+ and cold mango sago MYR 11.90+ in a white sweet soup which has chinese almond seeds taste aka apricot kernels taste. 

All 3 bowls of desserts taste good 😋 because they are only mildly sweet.

12.36 noon - he ordered black bean pepper pork ribs fried noodles MYR 19.90+ which I ate a bit.

1.03 noon - after eating the items we ordered above, I add one more order: hot wah Yuen sweet cha chaa MYR 10.90+

This is sweeter than the previous 3 bowls. I prefer it to be without santan.

2.16 pm - the nasi lemak container is much smaller than the quarter meal box.

2.18 pm - nasi lemak quarter chicken of whole chicken leg for him. No options to choose the taste of the chicken marinate . By default it is black pepper chicken.

2.36 pm - quarter meal for me 😋 The chicken breast has a lot of meat.

On Sunday 8.feb.2026, just went to Sri Petaling for food. All free parking lots were occupied so we parked the car at the wet market multistorey carpark for MYR 4.32 nett.

11.02 am - we ordered 7 items after eating pork soup at another eatery. This is our brunch 2.

11.01 am - this pandan layer cake MYR 6.90++ is very tasty 😋 all authentic taste so I will be back to eat it again.

11.01 am - taro paste toasts with butter MYR 5.90++ the butter is real and tastes good but is too buttery for him so I ate 3 pieces while he ate one piece. Ok to order again for myself.

10.29 am - the big logo behind the cashier counter is different now

10.30 am - this shop has a new owner since oct 2025 which is last year. We didn't know about this fact until last month.

Hog Kitchen Pat Sdn Bhd

Back in 29 Sep 2025, the hog kitchen team announced the closure of hog kitchen Sri Petaling on their fb

They opened this new branch on 18 Nov 2024 so in less than one year, they decided to close this branch and just operate the existing two shops at SS2 and Kota Damansara.

Lucky for Sri Petaling customers, someone bought the Sri Petaling outfit lock stock and barrel and opened a new FB called hog kitchen pat Sri Petaling immediately after the closure.

Closure announcement on 29 Sep 2025. 

New owner opened new FB on 16 oct 2025.

We didn't know about this when we ate lunch at hog kitchen on Sunday 2.nov.2025

Top is new logo at Sri Petaling. Bottom is existing logo for the original shops at SS2 and Kota Damansara. I wonder 🤔 how many Sri Petaling customers still don't know about this change. Food taste as good as before so no complaints.

On Saturday 7.feb.2026, went to Midvalley mall to buy a tabletop fan 98 so ate 2 meals there. As it is near CNY, the malls are having lion dance performances.

On the way back, stopped by Taman Desa and ate early dinner at Kopiholic.

12.24 noon - since there is 10% off so ordered a hot black coffee MYR 4.50 and chocolate banana cake MYR 13.80 which he says is buttery after eating one bite so I finished it.

After buying the fan, we received a MYR 5 voucher off any items excluding supermarket items so we bought these 2 microwavable Stainless steel containers MYR 49.90 nett and paid MYR 44.90 after using the voucher.

I don't dare to use it in a microwave even though it says it is microwavable not more than 5 minutes without the cover.
