Prawns Omelette Rice

On Thursday 7.aug.2025, went to Pavilion Bukit Jalil because he wanted to buy some household items from nitori.

11.53 am - he ordered chicken slices curry set rice with a small bowl of soup and a jelly dessert MYR 19.90++

I ordered prawns Omelette Rice MYR 20.80++

I am surprised that they put slices of raw onion on top of the omelette rice because usually the onion is put into the omelette so the onion is cooked and not raw. Now the raw onions gave a fresh clean taste to the omelette.

10.14 am - he ordered a slice of margarine toast with sugar sprinkled on top MYR 3.90++ because he used to eat this type of toast as a child.

4.13 pm - he ate 🥑 and gave me a quarter so I ate it with a slice of wholemeal bread and we both ate one tea egg each bought on Monday.

4.42 pm - I then ate both the pineapple pastries I bought on Tuesday. Then I ate one slice of wholemeal bread with no added salt no added sugar peanut butter.

Waiting for Delivery

On Wednesday 23.oct.2024, his item is scheduled to be delivered on this day so he chose a coffee shop nearby Ho Yu Kee that we haven't been to, for brunch. He chose all the food and I helped him to eat all the remaining food.

8.44 am - curry noodles, not spicy, just thick, creamy and flavourful.

8.44 am - his hot cham drink and dry wanton noodles with pork belly multilayered fats char siew. I ate most of the wanton noodles because he was full after eating half the curry noodles and all the char siew because I don't want to eat the layers of fats that were difficult to separate from the layers of lean meat. I ate the dry wanton noodles by soaking them in the curry gravy soup of the curry noodles.

8.50 am - he also ordered soft boiled eggs.

Around 3 pm to 4 pm, ate the remaining 2 tea eggs from purple cane on Saturday with bread and 3 slices of Sri Karak kaya roll.

Curry Chicken Toasts

On Thursday 5.sep.2024, went to eat brunch at Million Ocean but it was their day off so we walked to nearby Ming Hin.

9.48 am - he ordered wine pork noodles MYR 12.90 nett.

9.50 am - I ordered curry chicken toast MYR 10.90 nett and ice coffee MYR 3.50 nett.

He ordered luncheon meat egg sandwich MYR 5.50 nett and hot coffee hot MYR 2.50 nett.

The curry chicken has two pieces of soft potatoes in it which tastes good 😋 and the curry is not spicy so I can eat it. I prefer the iced coffee to be stronger.

On our way back, we noticed a new eatery just opened on Wed 4.sep.2024 so there are many congratulatory flower stands outside it. Big Eye Restaurant serves lunch and dinner restaurant dishes such as steamed fish and stir fried prawns.

Cham O Kosong Yitcha Kaw Kaw

On Friday 3.nov.2023, early morning he picked up kid4 and they went family mart to buy buns and burritos as snacks for the family overseas because kid4 is flying back at about noon.

After dropping kid4 off at home, he picked me up to go Big pharmacy to buy dressings and to eat brunch.

*** Omega Noodle Sri Petaling ***

9.51 am - found parking space in front of this eatery so we ate brunch there. His pork noodles add kidneys. My white curry instant noodles. This eatery is for people who love to eat pork everything.

Total price is MYR 37 nett without any drinks.

*** Yitcha Kaw Kaw Sri Petaling ***

10.33 am - after omega noodles, we walked a few doors to have our drinks. I ordered a plate of nam yue meat because the omega curry noodles dish doesn't have any meat, it just has two small deshelled prawns, deep fried fupei, taupok, long bean, two white fish balls and two crab sticks.

I ordered cold cham O Kosong so it doesn't have any milk and sugar. Very refreshing with a tinge of sour taste which I like.

Total price MYR 28.50 nett.

Then he went to healthlane pharmacy a few doors away to buy wound dressings and clarinase for his runny nose.

Kid1 is on elderly lunch duty today and took elderly to visit care center elderly after lunch. The elderly 4th sibling brought lotus soup for the elderly's lunch in house.

Duty Calls

On Monday 3.jul.2023, early morning he took grab with the elderly to the regular hospital appointment MYR 32 and reached there at 8.50 am. At 10.22 am, after completing the urine flow test and bladder scan, their assigned number to consult the doctor is 1080 and the current number served is 1020 so 60 numbers to go. 

Term to remember: benign prostate hypertrophy. Challenge: just by himself, he has to request the elderly to stay put while he went about getting things done and twice, he had to look for the elderly because not at the seat, wandered off.

At 11.41 am, the current number served is 1040; 12.18 noon is 1055; 1.46 pm just consulted the doctor and waiting to collect the medications; 2.12 pm completed everything and took a cab back MYR 13 nett; 2.40 pm picked me up to go omad.

It looked as if it was going to rain so went to the free 2 hours covered basement car park of pinnacle condo. Ate omad at Nam Heong Pinnacle Sri Petaling.

3.06 pm - he chose this pork curry nasi lemak MYR 18.90+ which is tasty.

3.14 pm - 3 pm yum Char promo set D with iced coffee less sweet, char siew bao and siew MYR 12.90+ which is good value for money. We shared all the food between us.

Total price is MYR 35 nett and that was my omad. Reached home at 3.43 pm.

White Curry Noodles

On Saturday 25.mar.2023, went to Taman Desa to buy lunch for the elderlies and in the evening to Fatty Mixed Rice to buy dinner for the Elderlies.

It was raining after buying chapfan at Tuck Tuck Tei so he ordered watercress soup MYR 7.5 nett at Sing Kee Kitchen and drank the soup while waiting for the rain to subside.

11.48 am - he bought this white curry noodles MYR 8.5 nett from Tuck Tuck Tei coffee shop. It has cockles and coagulated blood cubes.

3.16 pm - I ate the remaining curry noodles that he kept aside. My chapfan no rice MYR 7 nett from Tuck Tuck Tei:

1. Napa cabbage

2. Broccoli and cauliflower

3. Yin choy

4. 3 braised eggs of which I ate one 

The curry soup is very creamy with lots Santan.

4.53 pm - his chapfan no rice from Tuck Tuck Tei which he ate as dinner. He bought two packs with steamed chicken thigh, yinchoy and scrambled eggs for MYR 16 nett so one pack costs MYR 8 nett.

Curry Chicken Oriental Kopi

On Monday 27.feb.2023, went to Pavilion Bukit Jalil after 14 days from our previous trip there.

11.42 am - this curry ccf MYR 13.90++ is a bit spicy with sweet brown gravy mixed with the curry gravy. Luckily for me the ccf portion is not big. It has fish balls, taopok and bean curd sheets.

11.45 am - the taste of this curry chicken nasi lemak MYR 17.90++ is acceptable. We shared both these dishes.

Total price is MYR 47.20 nett. We also ordered iced oriental white coffee without added sugar which is truly not sweet at all.

5.34 pm - he cooked eggs with mushrooms stir-fry.

6.16 pm - I ate this coconut MYR 6.90 I bought yesterday from just fruit Taman Desa and a quarter of avocado.

CNY Day 3

On Tuesday 24.jan.2023, he will be providing lunch and dinner for the Elderlies on this day too.

*** Monday 23.jan.2023 ***

1200 - the Elderlies lunch. Early morning, he reheated the vegetarian dish and he cooked:

1. Curry chicken with a packet of A1 curry paste that he found in the Elderlies' fridge.

2. Ching Long Vege chives with bunapi mushrooms and wax sausages.

1800 - the Elderlies dinner. He added lettuce to the reheated braised pork trotters. Curry chicken and vegetarian dish from lunch.

Saturday 4.dec.21, his day to supply both lunch and dinner.

12.30 pm - sweet sour pork set rice.

12.31 pm - curry chicken set rice. I kept one portion of rice because I didn't want to eat rice and we shared both sets for lunch. I like that they give different type of vegetables dish for the two sets so that both of us get to eat two types of vege. Taste is acceptable.

*** Elderlies Lunch and Dinner ***

6.23 pm - he joined them for dinner and went over to cook rice because he ordered just the 3 dishes from Lan Je steamed fish eatery. The Elderlies are very happy to eat the steamed tilapia fish.

11.45 am - ordered porridge for the Elderlies for their lunch, delivered directly to them. Use feastkv code to get MYR 8 off for a minimum of MYR 30 spending on the food portion. The Elderlies like to eat this porridge because it is flavourful with the fragrance of sesame oil.

10.28 am - my breakfast of rainbow 7 sprouted grains bread with pickled green chilis from his wanton noodles.

8.39 am - his breakfast of dry broad wanton noodles from Sepetang coffee shop bought on the previous day. I didn't eat any because I didn't feel like eating this very flavourful noodles so early in the morning.

Grouper Fish Head Curry

Today, Mon 2.aug.21, is day 1 of walk in vaccination for locals in klang valley for above 40 in a few ppv centers starting at 2 pm so since I have not received a new date for vaccination, I reached klcc at 4.10 pm and completed dose 1 coronavac at 5.30 pm. A smooth process. Big thanks to all dedicated frontliners.

*** Sunday 1.aug.21 ***

2 pm - Curry Grouper Fish Head with Vegetables at MYR 28 nett and Prawns Congee MYR 15 nett from Hoong Kee Seafood Porridge.

6 pm - Ate this with basmati brown rice. Not that spicy but very flavourful with fennel seeds aka jintan manis amongst other spices. A lot of tender firm fish meat but a lot of large bones too. We didn't finish it but kept half the curry gravy and some okras for another day.

*** Monday 2.aug.21 ***

7.37 am - prawns congee eaten the next day for breakfast shared by two pax. There are 4 fresh prawns and you tiao is provided. Full of the taste of sea.

12.42 noon - lunch of fried chicken rice  from Sunday Wei Kee Chicken rice with luncheon meat shared by two pax. Flavourful!

Now is 11.45 pm and I am feeling as usual, normal. Guess immune system not triggered. Stay safe and get vaccinated!

Instant Oats Dumplings Curry

Last Sunday, 14.mar.21, the seller gave us so much curry gravy for the volcano curry noodles that it took us an additional 5 meals over 5 days to eat all the curry gravy.

1. Thursday 18.mar.21

11 am - add tofupok, fu pei aka bean curd sheets with fish paste fillings, okra, instant noodles into some of the remaining curry gravy as our lunch.

Lo Sam brand tofupok and fu pei aka beancurd sheets with a thin layer of fish paste fillings aka Puchok goreng nipis.

The fu pei aka beancurd sheets with a thin layer of fish paste fillings aka Puchok goreng nipis. It tastes exactly like those fu pei for Chee Cheong fun so we like the taste of these Lo Sam brand Puchok goreng nipis.

Just blanched some okras. 17 okras in one pack with 3 old ones that are too tough to be cut so only 14 can be eaten.

2. Friday 19.mar.21

The curry gravy has been in the fridge for 5 days since Sunday so he doesn't want to eat it anymore. 9.50 am - I ate some of the curry gravy with instant Quaker Oats, all the remaining okras and half the remaining tofupok.

I microwaved the instant oats for 1 minute on high power with some plain water so that they clump together. Put these oats clumps into the curry gravy and microwave them together for another 1 minute. Add in the tofupok and okra before eating them.

3. Saturday 20.mar.21

8.10 am - microwaved instant oats again to form clumps and put into the last batch of curry gravy.

Add in the last remaining tofupok.

The clumps of cooked instant oats can be considered as instant oats dumplings because they are chewy, gooey and go well with the creamy, salty, slightly spicy curry gravy.

1.48 pm - my lunch of Mee hoon in some remaining curry gravy.

5. Tuesday 16.mar.21

8.40 am - my breakfast or more accurate is brunch of one McD regular chicken drumstick with the remaining char kway teow from Saturday in some remaining curry gravy.
 

This remaining char kway teow is bought on Saturday 13.mar.21 from Swee Heng coffee shop. I didn't find the time to eat it until Tuesday 16.mar.21, 3 days after.
