Volcano Curry Mee

We didn't buy our usual nasi lemak from Sepetang coffee shop on the previous Sunday 14.mar.2021 so we went to Little Jungle Coffee House at Happy Garden to buy takeaway food.

Fortunately I was just buying takeaway because all tables were occupied by customers and there were many customers waiting for seats. Not much physical distancing.

I bought their famous Volcano Curry Mee at MYR 30 nett because there are 10 types of ingredients in their curry noodles. Add another MYR 1.50 nett for the home made noodles without kan sui taste according to the staff who recommended this noodle. We arranged the ingredients in our bowl at home.

Then we pour the creamy curry gravy over it.

We ate another portion for lunch the next day and there are still curry gravy remaining in our fridge.
We also bought other food - all pork noodles add one egg at MYR 9.30 nett, chicken rendang nasi lemak at MYR 11.90 nett, 2 tubs of tofufa with ginger syrup at a sum of MYR 7.60 nett, their famous avocado drink at MYR 7.80 nett and one portion of hot hainan tea at MYR 2.80 nett. Total price is MYR 70.90 nett.

Top view of the ingredients inside the big container used to store them.

Side view. The height of this tub is 12 cm.

Another view from the top.

Another top view.

Let us count the ingredients:

2. Chicken meat
3. Char siew
4. Prawns
5. 2 Tiny scallops in their shell
6. Bean curd sheets
7. Brinjals

  1. OMG! 10 different ingredients? The whole bowl looks so flavourful and of course delicious. I don't mind trying this even if it costs RM30. :D

    1. More than 10. Portion is enough for more than 1 pax.

  2. Too overloaded till cant taste properly on every ingredient unless eat separately in few portions. Feels like eating buffet with so many ingredients!

  3. Oh dear! I wouldn't want to go and eat there either. In fact, any place crowded, I will just go some place else. Wouldn't want to stand around waiting for my takeaway to be ready either. But the curry mee looks so so so good though. Maybe going at non-peak hours may help.

    1. Ya better not dine in crowded restaurants. Takeaway is better cos after place order can walk outside to clear area to wait and then only walk back in to collect when order is ready.

    1. If dine in, will be very difficult to eat. Eat at home can slowly eat by using many bowls.

  7. The curry mee is so loaded! Quite hard to eat and the ingredients might spill out (if eating at the restaurant).

    1. I definitely cannot eat this huge bowl of curry Mee at the eatery itself. So much, how to finish by two of us.

    3. Eat with your two girls then the amount should ok if they are ok to eat curry. This curry is rich enough with santan and the smell of lemongrass and curry leaves. 😋😄😋
