An Viet vs Pho Vietz

On Wednesday 31.may.2023,  went to Pho Vietz midvalley mall at 10.30 am but the staff were still having their meals so walked to An Viet at the Gardens Mall instead.

11.06 am - my beef noodle soup special ala carte MYR 24.90++ with raw slice beef, beef brisket, beef balls, and honeycomb tripe. We can choose 100g, 150g or 200g of noodles and we chose 100g which turned out to be quite little. Next time will choose 150g. I drank all the soup and was not thirsty so no MSG.

Also ordered prawn spring rolls MYR 9.9++ and iced coffee MYR 8.9++ for both of us to share.

This is the beef soup noodles I ordered. There are two more types of beef soup noodles with just raw beef and beef brisket and just beef balls.

11.08 am - he ordered meat set MYR 25.90++ which includes pickled vegetables, fried dumplings and one segment of prawn spring roll.

11.44 am - total price is MYR 80.75 nett.

11.43 am - An Viet at gardens mall. Will go eat lunch at Pho Vietz again next week at a later time, later than 11 am so that the staff have completed eating their lunch and are ready to start business for the day.

3.49 pm - he fried an egg and heated up the trotter rice bought on Monday from Thai Chala eatery Sri Petaling for his dinner. He kept the braised egg for me.

During week 3, my friend and I watched it at TGV cheras selatan. I am happy that I managed to watch it 3 times. 😄

Mee Jawa Mihun

On Tuesday 30.may.2023, went to 126 Kopitiam to have our brunch and to buy lunch for the Elderlies.

10.54 am - I ordered Mee Jawa MYR 8 nett and requested for mihun instead of yellow noodles. I feel that mihun tastes nicer than yellow noodles.

10.53 am - also ordered iced Cham MYR 4 nett and from the nasi kukus stall, one whole fried chicken leg MYR 8.90 nett and one portion of pineapple curry MYR 1.50 nett.

10.46 am - he ordered curry noodles for himself. For the Elderlies, curry noodles and chapfan no rice.

1 pm - I drank cold daikon dried oyster soup from the fridge.

For dinner, he heated up the remaining daikon soup and the remaining ginger chicken the Elderlies yesterday dinner.

Lantern Soy Braised Eatery

On Monday 29.may.2023, went to try out a new eatery in Sri Petaling that has only been opened for 5 months. This eatery opens only at 12.30 noon so as there was a long queue at the traffic light to turn into Sri Petaling, we parked the car at the roadside behind Bean JR and walked to the eatery.

1 pm - we ordered these 3 dishes and one drink.

We ate brunch at this new shop because I wanted to eat this braised beef hand made noodles MYR 22.90+ which is a tiny bit spicy with appetising pickled vegetables, carrots and bok choy. The hand made noodles are springy and QQ but I prefer softer noodles so next time I will ask the staff if I could change the noodles to prince noodles which is similar to instant noodles.

He selected this Set A dish MYR 17.90+ which has prince noodles, broccoli, meat shank, big intestines, ears and tofu.

Mix and match - 1 braised egg, quail eggs, soy chips, duck blood cubes, and Bai ye tofu MYR 15.5+ which is MYR 3.10 per item on average. The braise sauce tastes of herbs but I don't know what herbs.

Total price is MYR 69.50 nett.

1.44 pm - lantern Soy Braised Eatery is next to Thai Chala eatery, facing the main road and opposite Pinnacle condo in Sri Petaling.

8.48 am - he cooked eggs, prawns, onions for breakfast.

1.01 pm - he bought trotter rice from the Thai eatery next door for his dinner and this meal is still in the fridge at this time of writing because he ate bread bakwa for dinner.

TGV Cheras Selatan

On Sunday 28.may.2023, went to Taman Desa for our brunch but Mama Yen Cafe is having a day off so we ate brunch at Bakeroni Cafe. Then at 1pm, my friend picked me up for a chit chat at La Juiceria cafe in Taman Desa because she wanted to try the food there. We talked for too long until we have to rush to TGV Cheras Selatan for the 4 pm movie.

2.18 pm - my petite build-your-own salad bowl MYR 18.90++ which is a treat from my friend. I expected the maple balsamic vinaigrette dressing which I chose to be like vinegar but the texture is thick and similar to mayo so I just ate a bit of it. I like the ingredients that I selected such as roasted pumpkins, edamame, tempeh, beetroot, lettuce, and broccoli. A tasty bowl!

2.04 pm - build your own salad.

Lettuce as base. 4 mains: beetroot, edamame, roasted pumpkins and steamed broccoli.

One supplement: Tempeh. 

Dressing: maple balsamic vinaigrette.

2.13 pm - my friend ordered her meal from the caulirice section: keto bowl MYR 24.90++ 355kcal. Shredded cauliflower, mushrooms, eggs, tomatoes, mixed salad, shredded seaweed, shallots, spring onions, coriander and red chili.

2.08 pm - her drink of 30ml cold-pressed juices: the defender MYR 6++ 11kcal

Turmeric, cayenne pepper, bentong ginger, lemon, apple, wildflower honey. She mixed it with the drinking water to drink.

3.07 pm - La Juiceria at Taman Desa.

My friend and I went for the 4 pm showing at TGV cheras selatan. My 3rd viewing.

At 3.20 pm we were still at Taman Desa. TGV Cheras Selatan is located inside Aeon Cheras Selatan which is 18 km away.

At 3.50 pm, the car is in a long queue bumper to bumper crawling traffic to enter the car park of Aeon Cheras Selatan so my friend exited the car queue and did a uturn to park at the opposite EcoSave free car park and we crossed the road to walk into Aeon Cheras Selatan. Took a while to find the cinema as we were not familiar with this shopping center.

Enter the cinema at 4.05 pm. Luckily they were showing trailers so we didn't miss the beginning of our 🍿 movie. 3rd time watching, I only noticed the different types of planes shown. After the movie, my friend sent me home after buying some 20% off food from Aeon Supermarket. I was so tempted to buy my favourite Aeon Pandan layer cake but I haven't eaten the RT Pastry Pandan layer cake yet so I control myself and didn't buy it.

Red Yeast Wine Mee Suah

On Saturday 27.may.2023, went to Sunny Republic Sri Petaling eatery again for our brunch. This time we were lucky and managed to get a car parking spot at the roadside very near to the eatery as one car just vacated the spot when we reached the eatery.

He ordered Kai see hor fun soup MYR 13 nett. He requested for pieces of steamed chicken instead of shreds of chicken meat so the price is higher. We shared a glass of iced Cham drink at MYR 3.60 nett. After eating his noodle, he kept some noodles for me while he walked to Fatty Mixed Rice Sri Petaling to buy chapfan lunch takeaway for the Elderlies with me still eating my food at Sunny Republic Sri Petaling eatery.

11.05 am - my red yeast wine Mee suah with one whole chicken drumstick and one whole hard boiled egg MYR 13 nett. Tasty so I will eat this dish again.

11.12 am - I wanted to try out the popiah stall in Sunny Republic eatery but there are many types of popiah to choose from and they couldn't tell me the difference so I randomly chose this salad seaweed popiah roll MYR 8 nett. I like the raw vegetables in this popiah but I don't like that they use mayo in this popiah and I don't like the crunchy bits that much so next time I will try the traditional popiah instead.

5.20 pm - his dinner of chapfan no rice from 126 mixed rice Sri Petaling where he bought chapfan dinner takeaway for the Elderlies too. He cooked the ribs daikon soup earlier in the morning and ate it for dinner.

Clam Fish Fillet Curry Mihun

On Friday 26.may.2023, went again to Sunny Republic Sri Petaling eatery because it was closed on Tuesday when we went there but the open air car park opposite Pinnacle condo was full so we parked inside the car park of the pinnacle condo for MYR 2 per entry per 2 hours and walked to Sunny Republic eatery.

11.44 am - coconut and cold Hainan char MYR 10.10 nett so I guess the coconut is MYR 6.50 nett while the cold Hainan char is MYR 3.60 nett. The coconut is supplied to this coffee shop by PCK coconut.

11.44 am - I super like the taste of this clam Fish Fillet Curry Mihun hor fun MYR 12 nett because the curry is sourish so it is very appetising. Will definitely eat this noodles again. 😋

12.19 noon - my order is C3 on the menu.

He ate this cham lor noodles, a mixed of lor Mee gravy and prawn Mee broth.

1.20 pm - egg tarts time at Nam Heong at pinnacle condo. Warm egg tarts are nice to eat. 😋

1.34 pm - egg tarts and two drinks MYR 20.70 nett.

1.36 pm - nam heong at pinnacle condo.

1.55 pm - I walked past rt pastry and popped in to buy one loaf of Pandan layer cake MYR 15 nett.
