YitCha Kaw kaw Kopitiam Sri Petaling

On Thursday 4.may.2023, went to mountain hill shed to buy fish wanton mihun soup for himself and the elderly. Then we went to eat lunch. He walked to 126 mixed rice eatery to buy two packs of chapfan no rice for the Elderly's lunch and his dinner while I ordered our lunch at YitCha KawKaw Kopitiam.

11.21 am - authentic curry Mee small portion MYR 11.90++, hot white coffee MYR 3.90++, cold C Cham MYR 4.60++ which we took home to drink. The curry broth tastes acceptable and has cabbage in it. I like the taste of the Hakka fried pork slices which is nam Yue pork in the curry.

11.26 am - curry ccf two rolls with curry gravy with pork rind small portion MYR 9.90++ which tastes quite good as I feel that it has nyonya curry spices in it.

11.26 am - ALA carte one portion of Hakka fried pork MYR 9++ which is mostly lean with a bit of fats on the edges so I like the nam Yue taste of this lean pork a lot.

11.28 am - one portion of siew yuk MYR 12++ which has some fats parts and some lean parts. Ok can be accepted. Total price MYR 59.50 nett.

12.17 noon - we bought some pastries as takeaway:
1. Kampung egg tart MYR 2.50+
2. Bursting kaya puff MYR 2.70+
3. Coconut tart MYR 2.70+
4. Ipoh mini kaya puff MYR 2+
5. BBQ pork tart MYR 2.9+
6. Mung bean biscuits 5 pieces MYR 6+
Total MYR 19.90 nett.

He says the mini kaya puff has milky taste which I couldn't detect as usual. The BBQ pork tart fillings are too fatty. In conclusion, we will only buy the Mung bean biscuits again as he says they are not that dry and their fillings don't have too strong a fried shallot oil taste.

1.39 pm - please click on the above photo for a larger image to view the prices. The prices are a bit more affordable when compared to similar eatery so we may return. For me, I would buy the nam Yue pork again.

11.47 am - YitCha KawKaw Kopitiam Sri Petaling which is located opposite TK bakery.

11.46 am - need to wait a short while for tables. The pastry counter is right at the front entrance.

    1. Good to hear that you are feeling well enough to eat a bit of siew bao. Soon the doctors may allow you to taste a bit of curry noodles too if you are feeling up to it. Please take good care 🙏

    1. Erh, I don't know whether you will like them or not cos these are those very traditional types that uses trans fat so the pastry crusts are very very very crispy.

  4. I am glad you enjoyed the curry mee and ccf. I want to try the ccf next. So far I have not eaten curry ccf, only the one with sweet sauce. Next time I should order the Hakka pork as a side dish.

    1. I find that due to omad, the next day I will be very hungry so most food if not very teruk will be ok and fine with me. The effect of hunger, hahahaha 🤣😂 yes, curry ccf is quite ok if u r ok with rolled ccf cos rolled ccf cannot get the curry gravy into the core of the rolled ccf so u will get to taste the rice taste of the rolled ccf. Maybe the Hakka pork may be too lean n dry for you depending on what they serve you.
