Jelly Mooncakes

Today is Saturday 31.jul.21 Day 33 of PPN phase 1. Yesterday we stayed at home the whole day and received one scheduled jelly mooncakes delivery. Spent the whole day eating food from the fridge to clear them.

*** Friday 30.jul.21 ***

10.43 am - All the colours of these agar agar moon cakes are natural, from plants and the various food ingredients. Even the very blue is natural, from butterfly pea flowers.

10.56 am - the orange circle in the middle is agar agar with carrot juice.

10.41 am - Konnyaku fresh fruit mooncakes. Very refreshing.

10.40 am - bought these two boxes of jelly mooncakes.

10.40 am - each individual transparent mooncake tray has its own cover.

10.32 am - this package is delivered by Lalamove motorcycle rider.

*** Food From Fridge ***

8.46 am - his breakfast of Ling Fish Mee hoon bought from Swee Heng on Tuesday, 3 days ago.

11.46 am - my portion of Ling Fish Mee hoon with a slice of beef brisket, some meatloaf and all the pulled lamb for brunch.

12.53 noon - his lunch of the Bak chang bought from Klang Food Centre on Monday, 4 days ago. I ate one mouthful to try the taste, too flavourful for me.

12.57 noon - I ate this whole tub of coleslaw from Craf Roasters bought on Thursday, one day ago.

1.44 pm - I ate one quarter of each agar agar mooncake. Order of preference - blue pea flower, cendol, red bean and corn.

6 pm - I ate 2 slices of pandan layer cake from Monday and drank all the remaining iced latte from Thursday as dinner.

6.07 pm - his dinner of all the remaining smoked chicken from Thursday with instant noodles and an egg.

6.10 pm - I ate the above slice of tomato mint tart bought on Thursday.

We did quite well yesterday by eating only food from the fridge and didn't buy any new main food because jelly mooncakes don't count. 😂 Cleared ling fish Mee hoon, Bak Chang, iced latte and pulled lamb. Didn't eat the lamb shank stew and cornbread yet. Will do so today.

Craf Smoked Brisket

Today is Friday 30.jul.21 Day 32 of PPN phase 1. Yesterday we stayed at home the whole day and ordered 3 food deliveries. Also managed to clear some food from the fridge.

*** Thursday 29.jul.21 ***

After reading about PH's smoked brisket order from Craf Roasters and watching 2014 Jon Favreau's movie entitled Chef showing the Texas Smoked Brisket in the famous Franklin Barbecue in Austin, Texas, I had to order some Smoked Brisket to try.

1.54 pm - Set A with Smoked Brisket, Pulled Lamb and Meatloaf. I like the pulled lamb best because it is very juicy and tender. I didn't eat any of the fatty parts of the lamb because those fatty parts have the strongest lamb gamey taste. 

The smoked brisket has a nice smokey taste and is tender enough although I expected it to be softer. I think the cut of brisket meat I got is more muscular so it wasn't as tender as I have expected it to be.

2.46 pm - The meatloaf is quite crumbly and flavourful. It is like beef meatballs made from minced beef. I didn't register the taste carefully so I cannot describe the taste now. Will make a point to remember the taste when I eat the remaining meatloaf.

Update: I  have eaten the meatloaf again today. No special taste stood out so I still couldn't describe the taste except to say that it is a pleasant savoury taste. They put a layer of tomato ketchup on top of the meatloaf so I could taste the tomato ketchup. I could see some tiny bits and pieces of herbs and pepper in the meatloaf but their taste didn't stand out. That's all I can write to describe the taste of this meatloaf.

I ordered one day earlier after looking at all the delicious food on their insta. 50% off for coffee so I bought two types. He said that the hot flat white is too milky for him.

I ordered Set A and Set D.

Also ordered one ala carte dish.

This smoked lamb shank is the ala carte dish that I ordered. The portion is huge so I haven't eaten it yet.

I ordered too much food again. The big plastic bag contains the lamb shank. One of the paper bag contains one bun which is for the lamb shank. The 2nd paper bag contains 5 cornbread which I also haven't eaten any yet.

1.07 pm - received the food.

1.46 pm - his lunch of half a smoked chicken. I didn't try it.

1.50 pm - very appetising pickled cucumber and pickled onions.

2.10 pm - the roasted potatoes are very tasty, like them a lot. We have started eating these two items before I took this photo.

4.21 pm - I have to eat this remaining Mee hoon from Wednesday to clear it.

4.28 pm - and also eat these 3 slices of grouper fish fillet from Wednesday from Mr Fish Starling Mall to clear them.

4.41 pm - hock moon Hiong's bakwa. He prefers minced ones to sliced ones because the flavours are consistent for minced ones.

Bought these two items on Foodpanda and arranged for them to be picked up and delivered to my place. The pork mince meat is also in a 500 g pack.

Bought from taman maluri branch because the branch in Sri Petaling just opened after being closed for one week so better give them some time to get ready.

Bought these 3M kn95 masks Online but not sure whether the size fits my face or not because I haven't tried it yet. Buy 10 get 1 free so the total is 11.

Frozen Mini Cheese Cakes

Today is Thursday 29.jul.21 Day 31 of PPN phase 1. Yesterday we stayed at home for the whole day eating food from the fridge and didn't open the main door at all.

*** Saturday 24.jul.21 ***

1.40 pm - Frozen mini cheese cakes. Can you tell which one is mango and which one is peach?

I bought all 12 flavours available on Foodpanda. Ate 4 and gave 6 away so now I still have 2 in the freezer.

These are the 12 flavours. I ate say cheese, durian, mango and peach. Still in the freezer are matcha and dark chocolate. Gave 6 away.

On their website, there are 3 flavours not available in Foodpanda list: durian king, strawberry and lemon. Foodpanda list has an extra Milo flavour.

It is best to eat it frozen like ice cream.

1.30 pm - they are in cardboard boxes and plastic bag. No cooler bags.

*** Wednesday 28.jul.21 ***

We stayed home the whole day and ate the food below from the fridge.

7.06 am - his breakfast of yee Mee pork noodles from Swee Heng, bought on Tue 27.jul.21.

12 noon - I ate my portion of his breakfast.

 

12.15 noon - 14 slices of grouper Fillet from Mr Fish bought on Tues 27.jul.21.

12.15 noon - both of us attempted to eat the two portions of Mee hoon with the fish. 

4.40 pm - steam the remaining baos from Tuesday to eat and clear during dinner time.

4.53 pm - opened up the curry chicken bao to find that it has an aluminum container inside for the curry chicken.  Not spicy with very rich coconut taste.

Mr Fish Buy 2 Free 1

Today is Wednesday 28.jul.21 Day 30 of PPN phase 1. Yesterday we went to Swee Heng to buy takeaway food and also ordered one food delivery. Dropped off some Baos and 6 frozen mini cheese cakes to my friends at their gate.

*** Tue 27.jul.21 ***

1.40 pm - our shared lunch of Mr. Fish Grouper Fillet clear soup noodles. The piece of deep fried fish on the left is barramundi fillet. Grouper Fillet has thick skin which is chewy and full of collagen goodness.

The 3rd main dish is free so minus MYR 22.90 nett. I arranged for Lalamove to pick up my order from Mr fish starling mall and drop it off at my place.

1.20 pm - received my order in this big plastic bag.

The fried fish fillets are placed in paper bags. The soup is in a tub cardboard container and the noodles are placed into plastic bags. Can you spot the noodles on the left in the photo above? The remaining two main dishes we kept in the fridge for another day.

9.40 am - our shared breakfast of prawn yellow noodles mix Mee hoon MYR 7.50 nett bought from swee Heng coffee shop. We also bought hot Hainan char at MYR 2.90 nett.

10 am - I ate the remaining half of the dry beef hor fun bought on Sunday to clear them. Tasty beef slices.

11.12 am - we shared a red dragon fruit.

12.21 noon - my dessert of a slice of pandan mix yam layer cake from the 250 g box. I could live next to this cake shop and eat this cake everyday.

6.10 pm - our shared dinner of fish balls yellow noodles mix Mee hoon MYR 7.50 nett from swee Heng coffee shop. I asked for all Mee hoon but the elderly owners of the stall heard wrongly and put in yellow noodles as well. We still eat the yellow noodles so no wastage.
