On Sunday 19.may.2024, grab to Pudu icc for brunch and then to kt pagoda since it was closed the previous day. Around 5 pm, prep the elderly and grab to pavilion bukit jalil for dinner celebration. Then it is coffee time at Christine's Bakery.

8.30 am - bought this pack of two mixed popiah total MYR 10 nett after buying 2 deep fried nian gao at MYR 2.50 nett each. Kid4+ ate ccf. A Cham ping MYR 4 nett.

8.36 am - my mixed beef soup no noodles MYR 13 nett and his 3jc dry mihun horfun and very spicy pepper stomach soup MYR 21 nett. A Hot cham MYR 3.2 nett

Bought 4 Bunn Choon egg tarts MYR 11.6 nett

5.42 pm - grand harbour restaurant opens at 6 pm for dinner. Everyone is back for this celebration.

6.48 pm - the 10 pax table is too small for 10 pax imo so all the dishes couldn't be placed at the table at the same time. I didn't eat two dishes because there wasn't enough to go around - the salted fish pork belly dish and the trotters. 

The curry fish dish and sesame roast chicken dish are worth ordering again because these two dishes are very tasty.

7.44 pm - total bill is MYR 542.90 nett for 7 dishes, 10 pax hot tea and 4 bowls of rice. One piece Kobo cake MYR 7 nett so it is MYR 54.99 per pax so it is MYR 123.75 nett for 3 and MYR 178.75 nett for 1.

Early Tea Time

On Saturday 11.nov.2023, while I was sleeping, he woke up very early and went over to prepare breakfast for the elderly, did laundry for the elderly, bought pepper stomach mihun soup for elderly's lunch, went petrol station, recycled styrofoam and was back sitting serenely when I woke up at 8.30 am.

Then we went for brunch at Taman Desa,  visited the care center with one pack of 15 pieces and went to Encore Cafe for early tea time. Later at night he went to buy claypot chicken rice for the elderly's dinner but the stall wasn't open so he bought bkt instead.

Mini Tarts

On Monday 19.jun.2023, we wanted to eat brunch at 10 Kopitiam Taman Desa but couldn't find a car parking space so we went to Faber Towers Taman Desa covered basement car park but still couldn't find a space so we exited the car park within 15 minutes so no parking fees were charged. Finally we ate brunch at Encore Cafe, Taman Desa.

In the evening, we went to Midvalley Mall for a gathering with his secondary school friends at Nale at 7.30 pm. To avoid traffic jam, we reached Midvalley Mall at 5.20 pm and he went to popcorn food court to drink a bowl of water cress vege ribs soup MYR 8.90 nett.

*** Encore Cafe Taman Desa ***

12.11 noon - 6 mini tarts for MYR 25+ when it is MYR 5+ for one tart. Buttery pastry so they are tasty. I took them home and ate them in two days.

11.45 am - my grilled salmon MYR 25+ with a few leaves of spinach. I like this low carb dish.

11.43 am - fish and chips MYR 20+ with tartar sauce and lemon. We ordered this dish previously so we ordered it again this time.

11.37 am - his hot flat white MYR 12+ and my iced long black MYR 11+ for table 6.

*** Nale, Midvalley Mall ***

7.51 pm - two of us shared a plate of beef rendang nasi lemak MYR 22.90++ during the gathering. The beef rendang is not spicy at all, just creamy and a bit on the sweet side though it is a bit salty too. We will visit Nale again for brunch one day.

On Wednesday 5.oct.2022, stayed home and ordered one Foodpanda delivery.

MYR 14.90 for one Matcha Red Bean Tart. I will buy one to try when I go there again.

Mango Tart MYR 15.90

Christine's Bakery is located at Level 3, Pavilion Bukit Jalil and has two dining areas: an enclosed dining area and a more open dining area.

The open dining area is the floor above the floor with the yellow and red lanterns display.

I use the electronic interactive signboard to locate Christine's Bakery and was told I need to walk 323 m to get there, which will take about 5 minutes.

The open dining area has tarts display counters. The strawberry tart MYR 9.50 looks delicious!

These two food items are what we usually order from Hainanese Boneless Chicken Rice eatery. MYR 15.90 for both food items after using PestaPanda promocode. A very good price. Better than the walk-in price. Rice for lunch and noodles for dinner.

Friday 20.aug.21, these days, people need cheering up so what better way to put a smile on faces than to gift your friends some tasty pretty tarts.

1.02 pm - happy tasty pretty 6 inches tarts. I chose the mix match option to have two flavours in a box.

1.04 pm - Tart 2 at 31% off. They are so pretty to look at.

2.30 pm - tried a bit of each flavour. Cross section.

2.04 pm - cross section. I ate a bit of each.

1 pm - there is a card on top of the box.

Thoughtful wishes on the card.

I saw their promo on their ig account. Applicable until 16.sep.21 so go and buy them for friends and families.

I didn't buy the strawberry yogurt tart because I wanted to try the 4 flavours.

For people who loves the taste of coconut. The passion fruit curd is sourish so it is appetising.

The swiss meringue is soft and sweet. The yuzu lemon curd is also sourish and tasty.

This orange tart is the sweetest of all 4 tarts.

For dark chocolate lovers, this tart is superb, very delicious.

All the flavours are genuine authentic flavours, no artificial taste. 

Their shop front. The above photo is copied from online. I believe Bean Good is a new cafe that just started operations in the beginning of May 2021. Their address is Beangood, 27, jalan damai raya 6 , alam damai , 56000 Cheras. I hope to visit them one day to buy the strawberry yogurt tart.

C plus Ting Sri Petaling Pickup

Today is Thursday 8.jul.21 Day 10 of PPN phase 1. Yesterday, we plan to just stay home and order food delivery to take advantage of the 7.7 promo but we or rather I ordered too much food via 3 food deliveries so had to go to my nearby friend's house to pass half my food to them through the gate, didn't go in at all. Today again, is just stay home.

11.25 am - very colourful quartet tart. The whole tart is 25 cm in diameter.

So colourful that I need to show it again.

Side view. 3 savoury and 1 sweet. Very buttery crust. A must try for buttery tarts lovers. The flavours are so authentic and complement each other so well in each tart.

Nice packaging. I kept the rosemary and washed it to be eaten later.

If interested can contact the seller via insta or wapp. I like the tomato tart best because of the herbs taste which is very refreshing. Next I couldn't decide between the onion bacon and brie mushroom, both are super delicious. The berry tart is the only sweet tart so of course it has no competition. They are so tasty that they must be shared so I gave half to my friends to enjoy. They all agreed that the tart crust is super buttery so will feel very full after one slice.

8.24 am - 3jc soup Mee hoon bought on Tuesday 6.jul.21 from choy Kei coffee shop shared by two of us: 70:30 ratio for breakfast.

I asked him to order his breakfast because I was occupied with something so he ordered the above from an eatery in Sri Petaling to be picked up. The name of this eatery is C+厅 so I guess it is more for people who knows how to read the name. 厅 is ting which means hall. Ker ting is living room or living hall. I guess they want people to feel at home and at ease in their eatery. Later only when dine in is allowed.

10.13 am - nasi lemak with blue rice. They did as he requested, no sambal. A bit of curry gravy in a small container.

11.27 am - my portion. He kept two large pieces of deep fried chicken skin for me and I ate them both to my horror. Not that oily cos the fats have melted away during the frying. Very crispy and flavourful.

10.01 am - his bakwa and chicken floss bun. He told me there were no cucumber slices inside. I told him perhaps they don't want the bun to be soggy.
