Afternoon Sudden Showers

On Saturday 11.july.2026, went for breakfast nearby then to pick up items when collection center opens at 9 am. Then went for foc job before going to Wah Yuen again for early dinner.

9.30 am to 1.30 pm - foc job. Was supposed to be max 2 hours but got stuck there due to sudden heavy rain resulting in 4 hours.

2.18 pm - I ordered one cold milk red bean drink MYR 8.9+ and he ordered the rest:

1. Spring onions pork livers MYR 18+

The livers are thick and tender 😋 with strong fragrance of spring onions 😋 😋 😋 

2. Hot cham MYR 6.50+

3. Hot seaweed herb mung beans tong Sui MYR 7.90+ which is the empty bowl in the photo above.

2.28 pm - we shared this curry rice chicken chop egg MYR 16.90+

He selected sunny side up egg instead of scrambled egg. This dish is yummy 🤤 

Total MYR 55.50 nett after 10% discounts they gave subscribers to entice them to visit this eatery frequently.

8.52 am - he ordered the usual breakfast item by item, hot cham, soft boiled eggs and Kaya butter toasts, total MYR 10.10 nett. The extra twang of the spread makes me suspect that it is not pure butter so not going to order this Kaya butter toasts again.

Also ordered pork misua soup with two added eggs MYR 12 nett which is not in the photos.

On Friday 10.july.2026, went to two different eateries for brunch within 1 hour 💪🏻

My friend picked me up at 2.34 pm for early dinner for me and late lunch for my friend at Wataiwan ssg and sent me home near to 5 pm.

2.58 pm - set B MYR 49.90+ with sesame ginger chicken, oyster omelette, lettuce and tofu. My friend doesn't eat oyster so I ate all the oyster.

One bowl of rice 🍚 MYR 2+ for my friend. I didn't eat any rice.

3.08 pm - the sesame ginger chicken part of the set. I didn't eat any chicken, just ate some slices of ginger.

3.59 pm - we shared one aiyu jelly bingsu 😋 MYR 13.90+

My friend ordered one glass of hot drinking water MYR 1+

Queen Mattress so heavy

On Thursday 9.july.2026, it is unearth reuse furniture day. Woke up early, ate brunch nearby and dropped by to find the 🗝️ to unlock the 2nd and 3rd panels of the main sliding door. Return home to wait for appointment time. After the appointment, we went for early dinner at wah Yuen to redeem the birthday month buy one main dish, get foc main dish 2.

Appointment set 2.30 pm

At 1259 they updated the time to 2 pm

They were

MV-7-2-24 Daging Gepuk vs Rendang

On Wednesday 8.july.2026, very early at 7 am, went to Thong Kee Sri Petaling to eat breakfast. After that went to foc job for about two hours. At 10.20 am, went to Midvalley mall to drop off Preloved items to the charity store and ate lunch at Ayam Gepuk Hut.

11.11 am - this time I ordered ala carte daging rendang MYR 15+ and it turned out to be thick creamy curry beef slices which I like 😋 

So for Ayam Gepuk Hut:

1. Order daging rendang will get similar to curry beef slices

2. Order daging Gepuk will get similar to the usual beef chunks rendang 

For the main rice dish, I ordered sotong gepuk rice MYR 17.90+

The sotong aka squid is tender and tasty.

Both sotong gepuk and salted egg yolk sotong are tasty 😋 

Will definitely eat squid and beef here again because I like the taste.

Claypot Old Soup

On Monday 6.july.2026, went out twice for food.

He saw this new eatery in happy garden serving claypot soup boiled over traditional stove for long hours so we went there to try the soup.

11.35 am - he ordered black beans chicken soup MYR 58+

The soup is thick and flavourful. We took the remaining soup home as we drank 3 bowls and the claypot soup is for 4 or 5 bowls.

11.32 am - he also ordered oil rice char siew and roast pork MYR 13+

Total MYR 75.80 nett with 50+ cent for the soup container.

MV-7-1-23 Durians Durians

On Sunday 5.july.2026, went to Midvalley Mall for food because I want to eat the soto ayam dish by Ayam Gepuk Hut.

10.24 am - this eatery opens at 10 am. He left all the ordering to me so I bought:

1. Soto ayam with mihun MYR 15.90+

Soto ayam has cubes of ketupat in soup so I like to eat it as I like to eat soft ketupat aka compressed rice into cubes. Portion is not much so just nice for me as a small eater.

2. Daging gepuk MYR 14+ because I wanted to confirm what they gave us as daging gepuk last week was not mixed up by daging rendang. This time they gave us the same dish which to us tastes exactly like daging rendang. So next week I am going to order daging rendang only to see what they will give us.

3. Cold coffee MYR 5+ I requested for less sweet but they said the coffee is ready made and it turned out to be too sweet for us.

4. Combo C. Ayam gepuk + Salted Egg Sotong non spicy MYR 23.90+

When I say non spicy the staff reconfirmed it with me saying totally no sambal, only nuts gravy which is on the sweet side. I think the staff thinks the taste is a bit on the flat side if totally no sambal.

He likes the salted egg sotong aka squid because the sotong pieces are tender and the salted egg batter is flavourful. Next week I will try the sotong gepuk.

Total MYR 64.70 nett.

I am satisfied with this meal so will eat brunch at this eatery again next week.
