On Thursday 29.jan.2026, went to Yitcha kaw kaw Sri Petaling for food because there is a promo of 20% off one item from the add on section of the menu.

9 am - our usual value breakfast set of eggs, coffee, toasts MYR 10.90++ which is MYR 12.65 nett. The thin kaya butter toasts are not in the photo.

9 am - curry chicken thigh nasi lemak MYR 16.90++

9.28 am - the staff split the bills because I suspect the add on promo cannot be in the same bill as the value breakfast set. MYR 12.65 and MYR 29.50 so total is MYR 42.15 nett.

As he has joined the Yitcha kaw kaw loyalty program on this visit, he is entitled to a FOC drink so he redeemed one ice coffee c for me as takeaway.

Tooth Fill Fell Out

On Tuesday 18.jun.2024, went to eat chapfan no rice at golden chopsticks Sri Petaling.

11.05 am - two chapfan no rice and 1 cham ping drink total MYR 18 nett. A small plate of siew yuk and char siew MYR 10 nett.

My chapfan no rice:

3. Long beans with peanuts 

11.32 am - walked to the corner shop KFC Sri Petaling and bought ala carte 3 pieces fried chicken original taste MYR 20.99 so paid MYR 21 nett. I ate one drumstick and 1 rib. He ate 1 thigh.

When I bite on the drumstick I felt pain in my back most tooth on the bottom left. Seems like half the tooth filling fell out so I found a dentist online and made an appointment for Thursday.

My Omad is completed after KFC chicken.

On Sunday 7.apr.2024, went to buy fruits and KFC 5 pieces for my friend. Ate chapfan no rice at taman desa.

10.07 am - 1 chapfan with rice and 1 chapfan no rice. He ordered iced kopi O but forgot to say kosong so it contains sugar. I don't like the taste of coffee and sugar without milk so I didn't drink it at all. Total price for 3 items: MYR 20.50 nett.

11.20 am - 3 pieces original chicken is about MYR 21 for us and 5 pieces spicy chicken is about MYR 30 for my friend. I just took one bite the drumstick and feel that I prefer roast chicken than deep fried chicken. He ate all 3 pieces of chicken less one bite for his early dinner.

KFC Satay Burger

On Wednesday 16.aug.2023, at 8.30 am he chauffeured the elderly to the GP to follow up on the weeping blisters wounds because the GP wants to check the serous drainage. Now when kid 1 and him changes the gauze, they must scrap off the residue serous drainage as instructed by the GP.

He reached home at about 10.40 am and we then went to Midvalley Mall 11.40 am to 1.30 pm to buy kwong woh tong kwai lin kou big MYR 15 x 2 and grilled corn as per the Elderly's request. Ate lunch at Upeh. Bought one ALA carte kfc satay Burger MYR 17.50 nett.

*** KFC Satay Burger ***

4.16 pm - he ate this new kfc satay Burger ALA carte price: MYR 17.50 nett for his early dinner. The deep fried boneless crispy chicken thigh is flavourful having been marinated in satay marinate with added satay peanut sauce. The crunchy cucumber slices and raw onion slices gave the burger a refreshing touch. I ate a quarter of this burger.

I didn't buy a set meal because I didn't want the soft drinks.

11.51 am - our lunch at Upeh eatery. Basil rice MYR 19.90++ which is our favourite. We made a request for chicken leg and non spicy which they fulfilled.

11.56 am - since lontong is only available for breakfast until 11 am, I ordered this nasi tumpang fish MYR 10.90++ which I shouldn't be eating it because of the rice carb but I like the taste of the soft sticky rice and it is easy to eat.

12.09 noon - my portion of the basil rice.

12.21 noon - total price is MYR 51.75 nett. The hot ginger honey drink MYR 6.90++ has a strong ginger taste so he likes it. I ate the sago gula melaka MYR 6.90++ with just a bit of the gula melaka syrup and a bit of the santan coconut milk because I don't want to take in too much sugar.

Free MRT Ride

On Sunday 19.mar.2023, kid1 pay back the Elderlies lunch and dinner duty so early morning we walked 800m to the new MRT station and took a free ride to One Utama Shopping Mall for food and window shopping. The new MRT Putrajaya Line is giving free rides until end of this month.

We started our walk at 7.50 am, stopped for his breakfast and reached the new MRT station at 8.22 am.

8.32 am - ready to get on board. Reached 1u at 9.45 am because we took the longer route. As long as either the exit or entry station is on the Putrajaya MRT Line, then the whole ride is foc.

8.12 am - his breakfast of roti telur bawang with teh tarik - total price is MYR 4.5 nett at a stall nearby the MRT station.

Around 3 pm, we went home via foc MRT Ride and walked back home from the station. Reached home at about 4.20 pm. People were packed like sardines in the return journey.

*** KFC Arabian Spice Crunch ***

4.32 pm - 3 pieces of KFC Arabian Spice Crunch chicken. He ate 2 pieces for dinner and kept one piece for me. Very crunchy. It is a little spicy but later he told me that his stomach is on fire. It is also a bit sweet. I would say that it tastes pleasant.

2.22 pm - KFC chicken bought from 1u. I wanted to buy ala carte only the chicken but they only sell them in combo sets so I bought the 3-pc combo. I didn't open the box to check that the order is correct when receiving it so it was only at home when I found out that they forgot to put the whipped potato and coleslaw into the box. I guess somehow I ended up getting ala carte chicken at combo price. My mistake for not checking upon collecting my order.

KFC Zinger Chop

Sunday 14 June 2020 d89 - we continued our grocery buying from Saturday so since we are out of the house, we dropped by KFC to buy the latest 2 pieces Zinger Chop set at MYR 16.30 nett which includes 2 pieces Zinger Chop, a drink, coleslaw and rice or fries and we chose fries.

The Zinger chop is boneless thigh meat coated with crunchy spicy batter. Gravy is provided as the sauce.

The coleslaw is too hard for my teeth but I ate it because no one else wants to eat it.

I bought these 3 pumpkins for my friend from de Market supermarket because it was on offer - MYR 8.99 nett for one. Buy 3 for MYR 24 nett so I bought three.

Dropped them off at my friend and was given steamed pumpkin from the previous batch I bought for her. Very tasty pumpkin - we ate the skin as well. It tastes like a combination of chestnuts and sweet potatoes.

Then we went to RT Pastry, Taman Desa to buy some buns and cakes. I saw their Pandan Layer cake at MYR 13.20 nett so I bought it to try.

3 layers of cakes and 3 layers of pandan paste.

The green pandan layer is more of a jam paste than jelly so the cake is very different from the pandan layer cake by Klang original pandan layered cake shop and the one I bought from Aeon Supermarket recently.

The cake is tasty but just not the same type as the pandan layered cake that is my favourite from Golden Bake because the green layer is not jelly-like. The cake has a very fine texture, is moist with a strong coconut and Pandan taste.

I also bought two raisin scones.

The ingredients do not include jelly powder and hoe kwee mung bean powder so that is the reason the green layer is not the same at all as the two pandan Layer cakes that I ate recently.

Nasi Kari Atuk 3-pc Combo

Nasi Kari Atuk 3-pc Combo includes a soft drink which is not in this photo. The curry gravy has a very small piece of potatoes inside and the curry tastes like the curry served with roti canai. The sambal is a bit spicy and more to the sweet side and seems to have chili and tomato sauce in it with no anchovies and no onion pieces in it. The rice has some herbs taste and luckily is not buttered rice so not-me can eat it as he doesn't like buttered rice.

I find the coleslaw a bit out of place with the theme of this combo. I ate the rice with 11 of 12 of Texas tenders and finished the curry gravy and coleslaw.

Comparison between kfc spicy chicken and mcd non-spicy chicken. One has a yellowish tinge (right) compared to the left ones with a reddish tinge. Can you guess which is which?

Ordered and paid via kfc hp app and self collect for mother's day special bargain feast 12-pc combo MYR 55.90 nett which is a very good price as it includes 12 pieces of chicken, 1 bottle of 1.5L Pepsi soft drink, 1 large whipped potatoes, and an additional foc 3 pieces of soy garlic chicken. Total price is MYR 65.80 nett after adding MYR 19.90 nett for nasi Kari Atuk 3-pc Combo.

Kfc original non-spicy chicken. The deep fried batter coating is smooth and not curly curly as in spicy chicken spicy batter coating.

Bought the 12 pieces set instead on mother's day 11 May 2020 Sunday d55.

Three different sets of nasi Kari Atuk. The one with tenders looks tempting enough as I like to eat tenders.

KFC Fill up Set

I ordered the KFC Fill up set at MYR 8.90 nett which consists of one piece of chicken, 4 nuggets, one mashed potatoes, one coleslaw, and one soft drink. I changed the coleslaw to another mashed potatoes. I didn't want to have any soft drink but I wanted a cold drink so I upgraded the drink to iced Milo by paying MYR 1.60 nett extra before I remember I have milo at home and iced milo is easy to prepare. The last day to get KFC Fill up set is on 9 Sep 2019. I kept half the food for dinner.

I also bought a regular pack of fries at MYR 3.90 nett from the ala carte menu because I just love to eat fries so the total cost is MYR 14.40 nett.

The next day, my friend and I decided to share some McD food as brunch. She wanted to try the McD Nasi Lemak set which includes a soft drink at MYR 6 nett and I wanted to have the Fish Fillet Burger Set at MYR 11 nett which includes a soft drink and fries. As before we did not want the soft drinks so we changed them to Milo again. The McD Nasi Lemak has quite a strong coconut milk (santan) taste which is what a good nasi lemak should taste like.

Total bill for 2 pax is MYR 17.05 nett.

I saw this huge advertisement for this new special limited KFC Zinger burger where two pieces of Zinger Chicken acts as the bun for the burger. I won't try this because I do not like to eat Zinger chicken.
