Tonkatsu The Sphere

On Wednesday 13.aug.2025, I woke up late at about 10 am, so decided to go to the nasi lemak shop in Nexus bangsar south. Took some time to find a parking space as the upper level parking at Nexus is full so we had to exit the upper level and had to drive to the front to enter Nexus basement car park and found a spot near a dim area that I imagine PH would describe as im in hokkien. 🥶 

It was office lunch hours by then around 12 noon so there were long queues for The nasi lemak shop, hock Kee kopitiam and many popular eateries in nexus so we walked to The Sphere and he chose Tonkatsu by Ma Maison which luckily still has 3 vacant tables available.

12.45 noon - his order: Negi Miso Hire Set with unlimited refills for rice 🍚, shredded raw cabbage and miso soup 🍲 MYR 38.50++

He chose foc hot genmai drink and white plain rice.

For me, Mille Feuille Katsu set MYR 36++ with unlimited refills for the same 3 items. I chose foc cold genmai drink and multi grain brown rice which is yummy 😋 because it has beans mixed in the rice.

Total MYR 86.40 nett.

We were given a voucher for a free chicken Katsu when we order a Katsu set on a weekend or a public holiday. 

12.45 noon - mille Feuille tonKatsu is multi layered tonkatsu, made by layering thinly sliced Pork before dipping it in bread crumbs and deep frying it. This tonkatsu is very suitable for my weak teeth. 🤤 

He didn't get any refills and he just ate 80% of his rice and soup. I requested for one raw shredded cabbage refill and finished up his white rice and miso soup so I completed my meals for this day at 2 pm and I wasn't hungry at all at midnight so this set meal is very suitable for my omad. 👍 And tasty too.

On Saturday 8.march.2025, went to Midvalley mall because he wanted to eat ramen and tonkatsu at the new eatery where Ippudo and Maisen are using one retail space.

Deep Fried Oysters

On Friday 25.nov.2022, went midvalley mall to buy groceries and ate lunch at Tonkatsu by Ma Maison at The Garden mall. Just before dinner time, he went to help the elderly remove the diabetics socks put on by kid 1 during lunch time.

12 noon - my deep fried oysters set MYR 38.9++ with unlimited refillable raw julienned cabbage. The set includes multigrain rice, tea, midi soup and dessert. I took the rice home and gave it to my friend because both of us don't want to eat rice.

12.01 noon - his mameton set MYR 42.90++ with cabbage, tea, rice and dessert. He also didn't eat the rice and brought the rice home to give to my friend.

12.27 noon - the dessert. I ate 1.5 of this jelly but couldn't identify the taste but it tastes ok.

Half Price Rosu Katsu

On Wednesday 19.oct.2022, went to Pavilion Bukit Jalil to eat ice again.

11.24 am - ala carte Signature Rosu Katsu at 50% off for two days: 19 and 20.oct.2022 so it is MYR 13 only instead of MYR 26 before discount. Crispy and not oily. The meat is firm but tender. This eatery opens at 11 am.

Two ala carte Signature Rosu Katsu MYR 13 with two hot green tea and yakitori tiger prawn.

There were people waiting and the yakitori prawn was still not served so I wanted to cancel the order but then it arrived so I took it home.

Hire Katsu

On Thursday 24.feb.22, it was drizzling and raining on and off nearly the whole day. When there is a break, we ordered food delivery.

4.43 pm - early dinner of Hire Katsu set from Ma Maison The Sphere. Bought using hotdeals promo code on grabfood. Very tasty since it has been quite a few months since 15.jun.21 where we had a tonkatsu meal. I chose brown rice. I didn't buy extra gravy and sauces.

10.10 am - Lunch for the elderlies. I bought a large portion for both of us to share for lunch. The hor fun with a chicken thigh is the elderlies' favourite hor fun.

The price for the hire Katsu set after all calculations is MYR 27.25 nett.
