Dark Choc Crunchy Ice Cream

On Tuesday 31.oct.2023, kid1,3,4 all went with elderly to wound care appointment 2 at 2pm. They cleaned the wounds and say no infections. Fix the date for the next appointment next week.

He is still having slight cough and runny nose but duty calls. It is his day to get lunch for the elderly at home and also he needs to bring the center elderly to the wound care appointment.

*** Walls Ovaltine Dark Choc Crunchy ***

12.17 noon - yesterday I tried the matcha chocolate ice cream so today I try the Ovaltine dark Choc Crunchy Ice cream. The RRP is MYR 3.80 nett.

The malt Ovaltine taste is in the crunchy bits in the white coating. The filling tastes of chocolate only. The malt taste reminds me of Horlicks.

12.39 noon - then I ate a mini pink nestle kit Kat that has dried strawberries bits in the coating so it tastes a bit sourish admist the sweetness.

*** Golden Chopsticks coffee shop ***

10.08 am - roast chicken meat and siew yuk MYR 10 nett. Both of us ate the meat and he took some siew yuk and roast chicken for the elderly's wanton noodles soup lunch which he just bought from the wanton noodles stall in the same coffee shop.

10.06 am - our chapfan no rice and one hot cham MYR 17.30 nett. I ate the fried turmeric kembong fish. Taste good, I could eat more than one fish because the fish meat is not that much.

Magnum Matcha Crumble

On Monday 30.oct.2023, both of us stayed in the whole day and ordered food delivery as he is now having a drippy nose and slight cough.

*** New Ice Cream ***

3.13 pm - I tried this new Magnum Matcha ice cream. There are very crunchy bits in the chocolate coating. The matcha taste is authentic but very light so people who doesn't like matcha taste but like chocolate taste will still enjoy this ice cream because the chocolate coating is very chocolatey.

3.10 pm - magnum matcha crumble ice cream and walls bites time cube ice cream.

3.11 pm - cross section of walls bites time cube ice cream. Light and easy to eat.

3.21 pm - made by unilever Thai holdings

3.10 pm - I stock up on ice cream. Bought mini sticks so that I don't need to eat too much ice cream per day.

Could get lower price elsewhere.

*** Salad Atelier ***

11.15 am - I ordered salad Atelier self select option again due to the promo, the above is only about MYR 22 inclusive of delivery which is a good price. MYR 21.78 nett to be exact.

1.25 pm - ate the salad and salmon and also the 3 of 3 tea egg bought from Jynn herbal shop in pavilion Bukit Jalil on Friday.

Tasty salmon.

1.52 pm - I finished all the remaining lemongrass chicken wings and fried ginger which is tasty and just flavourful enough.

2.22 pm - he ate this braised knuckle rice for lunch.

11.15 am - the yellow plastic bag is from Chok Kar Chong Happy Garden. Steamed chicken and herbal stomach pepper soup.

He bought this 100 ml at MYR 13.50 nett. He also bought a strip of 10 clarinase 5mg/120mg for MYR 17 nett.

Kid1 visited the elderly who couldn't sleep the previous night due to hip joint pain. They think is due to pulling up legs for too long. Actifast for the pain and don't put up legs for the moment.

Yu Noodle Delivery

On Sunday 29.oct.2023, both of us are not feeling that well so we just ordered food delivery and didn't go out at all as it is our off duty day. He is feeling more unwell with achy body, slight cough, slight runny nose and a heavy head so he took some meds while I am just feeling very hot so I drank lots of water and felt a bit better after that. I also slept until 11 am to let my body have more rest. The care center elderly has a rest day too with no visitors to disturb.

He requested for fish balls soup and congee so that is what I ordered from 3 eateries using both Foodpanda and shopeefood.

*** Tasty Porridge Bukit Jalil ***

1.17 pm - minced meat, salted egg, century egg congee MYR 11.50 which tastes good as he likes congee with melted rice. 

I ordered lemon grass chicken wings MYR 14.90 which have fried ginger strips too so are flavourful and a small tub of gwai lin kou MYR 3.90 which is a bit bitter and I think they added lo hon go to it so it was a bit sweet too. Refreshing.

Total food price MYR 30.30 nett.

Grand total is MYR 36.29 nett inclusive of MYR 1 tip, MYR 3 processing fees and MYR 1.99 food panda pro delivery fees.

*** Yu Noodle Kuchai Lama ***

1.51 pm - the mihun and vege small Yao mak is placed in a paper container. There are quite many pieces of Yao mak vege leaves. The mihun is ok, not the very soft type but not those thick curly type.

The saito fish balls and soup are placed separately in a plastic bag MYR 13.25 including packaging fees. Shopeefood delivery fees MYR 4 with MYR 3 discount so the total is MYR 14.25 nett.

1.59 pm - my omad of 1 Yu wat mihun soup. The mihun is the very soft thin type which I like. The soup is murky but doesn't contain any milk so he could drink it. As there is a separate bag of similar soup for the stuffed tofupok, I drank one bag of soup so ended up quite full. I also ate one piece of chicken wing from Yu Noodle.

5 pm - I ate 4 pieces of this pineapple tarts which I bought during shopee live so with a huge discount I paid MYR 10.60 nett for delivery fees and 20 pineapple tarts premium that is sold at MYR 19 nett. Taste good.

He wanted bread so I ordered the bread from pandamart and also some items as well. My mistake for not checking the vouchers in the app properly because MYR 60 would get MYR 10 off and I am just MYR 4 short of MYR 60. Oh well, no point crying over spilt milk.

Salmon Salad Atelier

On Saturday 28.oct.2023, at 10 am he went to pick up kid 4 and the elderly to eat brunch at Sing Kee Kitchen Taman Desa. Kid 1 and kid joined them there before all went to visit elderly at care center. He reheat the steamed chicken thigh with the chicken soup and prepare ginger paste dip for the center elderly to eat as per request.

He reached home at about 2.40 pm and said his throat feels uncomfortable so won't be going out again to buy dinner for the elderly so I bought food delivery via Foodpanda for us and the elderly.

4.47 pm - my omad of diy salad from salad atelier via Foodpanda. I like ordering salad from this eatery because they allow me to order a salad without any dressings. Tasty! Just the way I like it, no dressings.

Total price is MYR 19.97 nett by using Foodpanda evoucher for MYR 6.27 off which means my salmon is paid by Foodpanda since I top up about MYR 6 to select salmon instead of chicken.

Bought bkt for his dinner and new lucky bkt for the Elderly's dinner.

Kid 1 and kid joined one elderly and kid 3 n 4 for brunch at Taman desa and then all went to visit the center elderly.

He prepared steamed chicken rice for the center elderly who ate it all with gusto with the spicy sour vege dish he bought from sing Kee Kitchen.

In his words:

I pick out the bony parts and cut the chicken to smaller pieces.

I heated the soup and warm the chicken pieces.

I leave a little soup in the pan, add in some ginger paste and sesame oil and toss the rice to mix well and till soft.

I gave half the rice in the paper wrapper, placed the chicken pieces on top, then glazed with some sesame oil and oyster sauce.

I also bought sour veg from singkee.

Thousand Layer Cake

On Friday 27.oct.2023, similar to Thursday, at 8 am, all 3 of them are at the hospital. This time, it is for CT Scan and as the 2nd in the queue, it was completed at 8.16 am.

1.23 pm - thousand Layer steamed cake with sweet sesame dip and condensed milk, 6 xlb, ginseng tea.

1.39 pm - beef tendon soup without noodles. I drank all the soup.

Total bill is MYR 71.50 nett.

2.05 pm - dtf pavilion Bukit Jalil storefront. After this, we bought a combo promo of 3 braised eggs and one small bottle of herbal tea MYR 9.9 nett at Jynns herbal shop. 

Stopped by boneless chicken shop in oug to buy quarter steamed chicken lower part, one small portion of rice MYR 19 nett.

12.02 noon - our favourite mihun deep fried chicken pieces.

12.09 noon - his hot coffee and my butter kaya toast that we shared. Total price is MYR 32.70 nett.

12.27 noon - this is the shop I saw in Taman Desa that I wanted to try so I could try the cheese tomato curry here instead.

On Thursday 26.oct.2023, at 6.44 am, he picked up kid 4 and then both of them picked up the elderly at 7.20 am to go to the hospital for the 8 am physiotherapy appointment. After making sure that the elderly has settled back into the care center, they went home at 9.16 am.

This is his lunch duty day so he bought chapfan lunch at timwon for 3 of them because the pork noodles stall is not opened and they ate the chapfan together at home.

4.20 pm - after a slight drizzle, went to Fatty Mok Ytf for his early dinner and my omad:

The curry ribs are not as tender as the previous time that I ate them. The ytf fillings have improved from the previous time that we found it to be too soft so we can resume eating the ytf here.

On Wednesday 25.oct.2023, at 6.50 am, he went to pick up kid 4 and both of them picked up the center elderly at 7.20 am to arrive at kk at 8 am for the appointment which was completed by 9 am. At about 10.30 am he picked me up to go Midvalley Mall because his sim card needs to be replaced.

*** Man Kee Midvalley Mall ***

11.38 am - HK style beef satay nissin noodles MYR 17++ which I ordered. The slices of beef is just tender enough for me to eat them without any issues and marinated until very flavourful. The portion of nissin noodles is not too much so I was able to eat them all. Overall, this dish is ok, just a bit too salty for me.

11.41 am -  his ginger spring onion pork chop dry nissin noodles MYR 18++ which I ate a bit. Nice ginger taste but also a bit too salty for me. Total price for two bowl of noodles is MYR 38.50 nett.

We didn't order any drinks because the milk is too strong for him so after this meal, we went to Ah Cheng Laksa for the morning meal set of eggs, toast and coffee at MYR 11.15 nett.

Total food price at Midvalley Mall is MYR 49.65 nett for two pax.

*** Mochi Fair ***

Bought these mochi MYR 66 nett at the gardens mall. Each of the top mochi costs MYR 11 nett.  The box of warabi mochi costs MYR 20 for 3 flavours, matcha, sesame and warabi mochi flavour but is free when customers buy 6 mochi at MYR 66 nett.

2.29 pm - I ate the above two moch: yam mochi and milk mochi because they have fresh whipped cream as their fillings together with red bean paste fillings. The mochi skin is very soft and fine. Very easy to eat.

6.16 pm - Mugwort mochi is tasty. The mugwort is aromatic with a taste that online articles described as mint and juniper. Both of us ate this mugwort mochi.

6.16 pm - brown sugar mochi has a brown sugar cinnamon taste. He also ate a bit of this mochi.

1.45 pm - the kiosk selling the mochi at gardens mall.

The next day I ate the matcha mochi which is milky. Both of us ate the savoury mochi which is still sweet but less sweet.

Vascular Scan

On Tuesday 24.oct.2023, the vascular scan hkl appointment is at 2 pm and they reached there at 1.30 pm to register. Got no.7014 at 2.21 pm and waited till 3.35 pm but only completed the consultation at 5 pm. No scan done, just initial assessment. Scan is scheduled in Jan next year due to many people in the queue.

Today is his duty day for lunch for home-elderly.

*** Golden Chopsticks coffee shop ***

9.24 am - my omad chapfan 3 vege dishes no rice and his chapfan brunch 2 vege dishes no rice MYR 14 nett with 1 shared ice Cham drink MYR 3 nett. The plate of roast chicken meat and siew yuk MYR 10 nett is without any sauce or gravy. Total price MYR 27 nett. I didn't eat anything else for the day after this early meal.

He bought chicken feet mushrooms wanton noodles MYR 7.50 nett for the home-elderly's lunch. He also bought 2 braised hard boiled eggs MYR 1.50 each from 126 Kopitiam chapfan stall for center elderly snack while waiting for consultation.

Kid 1 flew home yesterday evening and gave him this box of chocolate. He ate the coffee chocolate.

Chili & Lime flavour, I wonder is it spicy. I will let him eat all the chocolate since he is such a bzbee this week.
