Woke up at 4.27 am and searched for method to check out. Found that the reception counter to return the parking card is at 9 am so decided to walk to Yut Kee to eat the weekend only available roast pork roll.
Yut Kee opens at 7.30 am so at 6.30 am, we waited for the elevator to go down to the lobby.

ReplyDeleteThe last picture should be yuet gwong hor (moonlight hor fun). I don't dare to eat raw egg like this. If sizzling plate still ok coz got enough heat to soft cook the egg.
The guest only in kl for 3 days, tht's very brief.
All the wedding guests living far away, the happy couple book Airbnb for the guests. 5 days 4 nites to be exact. They mix the egg into the noodles so the egg is not raw anymore π
Deleteyea, have to mix fast fast before the noodles cool down, otherwise slimy egg very geli...heheheh
DeleteI thought the purpose is to have it as wat aka slimy π
DeleteHuh? The purpose is for the yolk to look like a moon. Just some sort of marketing gimmickπ
DeleteThis is yuet Kong hor aka moon noodles so the customer purposely want the dual functions of it appearing as moon π and for the slimy texture.
DeleteThey have normal wat tan hor also without this moon so if you cannot eat this egg, bthe. Don't order yuet Kong hor, just order wat tan hor, ok?
Dear Mun, I enjoyed seeing all your photos. The roast pork looks delicious! I agree with Nux, I do not eat raw egg!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for sharing, dear friend. I hope you have a lovely week ahead!
We did mix the egg into the hot noodles
DeleteWah, the roast pork roll looks so good, I want! LOL! Is there some kind of filling at the center of the roll? It reminds me of Porchetta.
ReplyDeleteAccording to online reviews, there is pistachio stuffing but the review is in 2016 π
DeleteMy fav items at Yut Kee are that dry beef noodles, roti babi and marble cake. So they have orange peel version now.
ReplyDeleteOnly one version with a bit of orange peel cos when I buy it I just say butter cake π
