Vegetarian Lou Sang
This vegetarian yee sang was made on order by a friend of my sister-in-law and she sells this in limited quantity as it takes a lot of work to shred all the ingredients. I only know some of the food items used for this - purple cabbage, papaya, deep fried yam, carrot, cucumbers, ginger, crushed peanuts and jackfruit (not in the photo yet). Will try to find out about all the ingredients next year if we happen to eat this again.

wow, so yummy looking. I sure love it with lots of peanuts and sesame seeds.
ReplyDeleteThe crushed peanuts sure add more texture and taste to this dish.
DeleteShredding takes quite sometimes...
ReplyDeleteYes, even if a vegetable shredder is used, it takes time to shred all the food items.
Deleteshredding okay la for cucumber but hard to cut the cabbage so thin
ReplyDeleteI think maybe they use a vegetable shredder.
