Nasi Goreng Selasih

The first time we ordered Nasi Goreng Selasih (Fried Rice with Thai Basil/Sweet Basil) MYR18.9 at Belanga and requested for the chicken wings that were served to be swapped with other parts of the chicken, we were told it was not possible to do so although we could see that there were other chicken parts  available in the trays behind the serving counter.

This time we ordered Nasi Goreng Selasih again and did not make any special request. To our surprise, we were given a piece of chicken thigh with drumstick instead of chicken wings. This makes us wonder why our request was turned down last time but there's no point asking now since they won't remember our previous visit.

Fried Rice with Thai Basil/Sweet Basil - MYR18.9 - a balanced meal with raw vegetables, chicken meat, rice and it is tasty too.

    1. So good to have Thai basil growing in abundance in your garden. Thanks for pointing it out so that I have just updated my post to say that we did see other fried chicken parts in trays behind the serving counter.

    4. I made this basil fried rice for dinner today. The basil leaves give a good aroma to the fried rice :)
