Garnishing

This plate of roast chicken (half a chicken) costs MYR43 nett at Teak Kee, a no-frills typical eatery with air-conditioning. I think the price is high but am not sure why it is so but the chicken is tasty so no complaints there. The thing is, will you eat the garnishing on the plate - the slices of raw cucumber, tomatoes and some leaves of raw lettuce?

  1. The garnishing is edible, so why not? I tink the chicken abit overpriced, but seeing from the previous post, the other dishes looks good and worth trying, especially the veggie dishes.

  2. Wow!!! RM43 for half! Here, at my regular Thai place, it's RM39 for half - steamed kampung chicken but that's an upscale, classier kind of place. This place is also nice, not our regular coffee shop or chicken rice stall - only RM23 here, one whole organic chicken, smoked/roasted

It was pricey for half a chicken but if tasty, I would not complain much.

  5. Only 1/2 a chicken and it cost RM43.00. Looks like a small chicken too. Very pricey for a no-frills establishment. Did they charge correctly? I am the one who usually wallop the garnishing hah..hah... But I do wonder if the restaurant recycles them from other plates if untouched.

  6. Yes I would sweep the whole plate like a DBKL truck. These garnishing helps me to digest away all the meat and guilts. LOLOL
