This is my one of my favourite food. Though the photo is not that pretty but can you guess what they are. They can be eaten immediately in their above form.
Looks like those braised chestnuts in packets. My girl loves those...but not cheap, so will limit that to once in a while only. Very nice, all gone in one sitting!
Yup, I agree.....it looks like "foong lut" aka (peeled roasted) chestnuts to me too.....although the shape of it isn't quite right as these are rounder!
Do you know that you can boil durian and nangka seeds and eat them? Very tasty! But these are not those, these are chestnuts. Boiled with skins removed.
I may be the last human to comment but I must confess that I could not guess it. I thought it was like some fried buns but your closed up photo was too clear!! Now I realised that I never held chestnuts close up and just hentam into my mouth.

ReplyDeleteMy mother bought raw ones in their skins and boiled them. The above ones have their skins peeled off and ready to be eaten.
