BreadFruits

Once in a while, we go for a Western style breakfast.

SatisFry Up at MYR27.80+ 6% GST so it is MYR29.45 nett which I say is value for money since a cup of coffee and a small glass of fruit juice are included as well and there are two slices of pork bacon, a piece of hash brown, butter, a slice of bread, two sunny side up eggs, baby tomatoes, salad rocket (arugula) and mushrooms. Salt and pepper are provided separately for you to add them to the dish to suit your preference so this dish is not salty at all.

Another look at the above dish from another angle. This is as good as the big breakfast we ate in Auckland,  NZ and at a better price too.

The other dish we ordered for our breakfast is the asparagus, smoked salmon and dill scrambled egg at MYR24.80+ 6% GST which is MYR26.30 nett. As expected, the smoked salmon and capers is a bit on the salty side.

Salt and  pepper on the side and the drinks - coffee and fresh fruit juice without added sugar - that is  included with the SatisFry Up meal.

Our order

Total bill for two - MYR55.75 nett.

Our view of the counter

Nice design

BreadFruits at Faber Towers, Taman Desa. The original outlet is located at Desa Sri Hartamas.

A nice place for a healthy breakfast.

  3. Breadfruit! I thought your post was about breadfruit which I last eaten it as a kid, in the form of chips.

The breakfasts look scrumptious. Did it tick all the right boxes?

  4. I would love the Big Breakfast, enjoyed the one I had at Plan B...and of course, the many I had in Auckland. The second one, that looks like a nice runny omelette to me rather than scrambled. I like my scrambled eggs mushy and creamy.

    1. I have not tried the big breakfast at Plan B. As the egg is stuck together in one big lump you are right that it is more like an omelette.

  6. Nice breakfast and the price is worth its huge portion. I will head there soon as Faber Towers has always been the perfect central meeting place for me and for those friends who live around Cheras and KL.

  10. I thought you would be showing the 'breadfruit' which my 'kakak' used to make into crispy chips. Too bad...I didn't learn how she does it.

Me too...would love some hearty western breakfast once in a while.

    1. No, its not nangka. Apparently from the family of nangka but the flesh is totally different.

  12. If it were up to me, I would go for such breakfasts every week. But RM20+ is only a decent price if I pay it once in a while, too costly to pay on a regular basis.

  13. Wahh both breakfasts look very nice and 'atas' (high-class). I'd happily go for this if it had been nearby for me.
