Queue? No, thanks...but this one is not very long. I don't mind those places that have seats for people to sit and wait - at least they do show a bit of respect for the people who bring in the money. One nyonya place in Melaka - you go in to register your name in the queue list and then they shoo you out to stand and wait in the sun - they would not allow you to sit and wait inside even though there are vacant tables. I would have left if my friend did not insist on staying since we had gone all to way there.
The one at 1-U also there is perpetually long queues and make me wonder that the food must be darn good. I must go and check them out one day, if there is a short queue :)
The new concept I believe. The one in Kuching looked like something like this with kitchen at the back. Been there once; like the food. Must go again to try other food in the menu.
I remember these Zanmai places were the premium ones when they first opened. Now I think they become like the preferred choice for most as Sushi K*ng has been relegated to cheapo fast food level in the perception of many.
Nice place. Did you also join the queue?
ReplyDeleteNo I did not join the queue. Will eat there another day when I go early to avoid the queue.

ReplyDeleteThere are no seats for this but then this is in a mall so there is aircon and no sun while waiting.

ReplyDeleteFor the price (midrange), the food is good.

ReplyDeleteSince you like the food, definitely must go again to try other food.

ReplyDeleteI guess you are right!
DeleteAlways long queues at Sushi Zanmai.
ReplyDeleteThe only time I tried, food took so long to arrive that we gave up at just one bowl. And after that went to a bakery to fill up the tummy hehe.
Quite a while I didn't eat there d. If service is that bad then I don't think I will go.
