Economy rice - MYR9. I went to a shop selling economy rice that I have not been before so I was not familiar with the dishes and did not know what to select. I took the deep fried "sotong" and stir fried bitter gourd.
Then I looked around and saw this piece of quartered green bell pepper (capsicum) with unknown stuffings in it. I like to eat capsicums so I took it without knowing what the fillings are. After eating it, the texture was soft so it was definitely not fish or meat paste. At that time I thought the fillings could be egg omelette with diced long bean. Maybe I should not have taken any unknown food or I could have asked the busy person-in-charged of this shop what the fillings were made of before selecting it.
I was laughing already before I clicked on your post.. Unknown food? Funny ahh you.. Today I went to eat chap-farn too for lunch.. Just simply take only.. Nothing can go wrong with 1 meat, 1 tofu (with minced meat) and 1 egg.. And a glass of leong-sui, hehe..
ReplyDeleteYou really don't like vege huh... need a balanced diet lah...
DeleteHello Princess Ribbon, ya, really funny right? :D Dunno what it is but yet eat it, hahaha!
DeleteHahaha, RealGunners, you can save the nagging for your future children! :D
DeleteExpensive lah. Maybe because of the sotong. Usually I also don't bother to ask. Just take and sometimes regretted hah..hah...
ReplyDeleteI think also because of the capsicum. And also because this is a shop selling chap fan with aircon and nice tables and chairs.
DeleteWow! RM9 for that, not cheap really. Maybe that was something vegetarian.
ReplyDeleteThe stuffings/fillings taste like egg to me. Not cheap maybe due to the aircon and nice seatings.
DeleteI love capsicum, it's very good for health.
ReplyDeleteBut really not cheap, must be the sotong.
I think it is the aircon and also the rental of the shop. This is not a coffee shop.
DeleteRM9 is no longer economical..It's called upper-class rice...haha
ReplyDeletethe stuffed filling could be mashed tofu with some 'ingredient'? perhaps is like those vegetarian stuffed yong tau foo...
Upper-class? Hotel food is upper-class.
DeleteThe fillings taste more like egg than tofu to me but then it is so soft it could be anything. *shudders*
That's why I hate it when they use the signboard claiming ECONOMY RICE. Economy my foot, RM9 is mamak nasi kandar price..
ReplyDeleteTo be fair, I don't think there is a signboard claiming economy rice in the air-conditioned shop with nice seatings. It is just that I call all chap fan style food economy rice. Hahaha, my bad.
DeleteUnknown food, hahaha!! The title is so cute la, but serious sometime don't know what to put for this type of food also la!!
ReplyDeleteThanks for saying that the title is cute. :)
Deletewahhhh... not cheap hor! Yes, squids is expensive.. but RM9 is a bit too steep perhaps?
ReplyDeleteCapsicum is also expensive I think. Expected to pay around myr10 max here for chap fan.
