Dried vege sliced duck porridge (Choy Kon) - MYR8.30 - the portion was enough for two small eaters. I find this porridge very tasty - the flavour is just right, not salty at all. The teacup is for size comparison.
Steamed pork meatballs wrapped in glutinous rice - MYR6.30 - this actually tastes good. The glutinous rice provides a nice contrasting texture to the pork meatballs.
Close up cross section shot - pork meatballs with dried smoked squid pieces in it wrapped in a thin layer of glutinous rice - tasty!
Glutinous rice - MYR6.30 - it was just as nice as I ate it the last time.
This is the 3rd time we ordered steamed beef ball - MYR7.30
A pot of jasmine tea for two at MYR3 per pax.

ReplyDeleteYes. To get a parking space near to the mall's entrance.
DeleteMid Valley? Grand Harbour? I don't think I saw it anywhere there, must have missed it - must check out out the next time I go over. The lor mai kai sure looks good.
ReplyDeleteIt just opened this year. Same row as pao xiang bak kut teh. Facing outside the gardens.
DeleteNo wonder. I was there June last year, out of date already. :D
DeleteTime to visit here again. ;p
DeleteThat pork ball in glutinous rice is something that I can get used to and fall in love with! Btw, where's the har gau and siew mai?
ReplyDeleteToo full to eat more so did not order them.
DeleteYeah agree if go to MV must reach pretty early.. If we go, we usually chut moon from our place at 9.30am, then reach there around 10am.. And already there are sooooooo many people there liao.. Oohh I love that steamed beef balls the most! Can eat 10!
ReplyDeletevery true what you wrote above. 10! Then np need to eat other dim sum?

ReplyDeleteCan try if you don't mind.
Deleteyou seems to lepak in MV often ya. Hmm this place food must be good for you to keep coming. Will look out for it
ReplyDeleteI do my weekly grocery shopping at MV cos it is closest to my place. Nyonya colors full house and other eateries not opened yet so eat here lor.
DeleteI want to try that duck porridge. Not many serve duck porridge.
ReplyDeleteThe duck used is smoked duck so the porridge is very flavourful.
DeleteThe dim sum looks good, Mun.. Though a bit pricey but if the quality is there, it is justified... won't mind coming again for good food! :)
ReplyDeleteNot that pricey if you order just enough like we did here.
Deletehmmm, either i have not been to MV often now, or i have not been dining in the place for quite some time, have not heard about this Grand Harbour albeit you have blogged about it three times, haha!!
ReplyDeleteand you are right, many times we tend to over-order and then in the end, suffer from a very bloated stomach, haha!! but sometimes it's difficult to resist those nice food also, ah, dilemma, haha.. and i have to say i love the loh mai kai very much~~ yummzz!!
DeleteJust open this year. Oh, another fan of loh mai kai like me here.
DeleteBloated stomach is suffering for me so got to control not to over order and over eat. :)
DeleteI've never seen this eatery at MVMM. Is it a small stall or a restaurant? Food looks good.
ReplyDeleteA restaurant with aircond enclosed. Same row with pao xiang bak kut teh, delicious, antipodean, maybank branch. There is another dim sum stall same row so please don't mistakenly take that for Grand Harbour. :)
DeleteWah you go grocery shopping so early ar? But good also la, avoid the jam ...
ReplyDeleteHave to go early or else difficult to find parking space.
Deletelooks good...gonna try it someday.
ReplyDeleteDo blog about it if you do. :)
