One day, I arrived early for work at 7am and the office would only be opened at 9am so I had two hours to kill. I found an air-conditioned eatery serving breakfast nearby and in order to sit there for two hours I had to order some food.
I was not interested in eating nasi lemak or those ready-cooked stir fried noodles so my other options were either fish ball hor fun for MYR4.50 or maggie mee for MYR3.50 and I chose the latter. I was asked chicken or curry flavour and I decided on chicken flavour because I did not fancy eating spicy food that early in the morning.
So here's the maggie mee in chicken flavoured soup. Good to see that there was an egg and some vege which I think is cangkuk manis. I know, I know, I can cook this at home myself but then I was really paying rent for sitting there for two hours.
It was nice for them to let you sit for two hours:-)
ReplyDeleteYes, nice. Too early so there were still vacant seats for other patrons so they did not chase me away.
DeleteCheaper than cyber cafe or Starbucks..
ReplyDeleteVery true but No cyber cafe or starbucks around my work place.
DeleteAnd I would like to add two more sausage with it, hehe! =]
ReplyDeleteIf cook at home sure will add more food inside. :)
DeleteFor breakfast, I prefer soupy noodles too.. Looks like Nissin noodles from the picture.. Like Sheta, I would love to have luncheon meat and sausages inside the noodles, haha..
ReplyDeleteYour soup noodles all are very tasty looking from the photos you posted on your blog. *thumbs up*
DeleteA small price to pay, eh? Quite OK lah...
ReplyDeleteYes, ok lah.
DeleteGosh! And and thought mine was expensive, RM1.50. But yours had an egg and some veg, RM2 extra for those. Hehehehehe!!!!
ReplyDeleteWhen I read your post the other day I thought what a coincidence! Hehehe! :)
Deletehahah same like me la...sitting cost while waiting for J to finish class
ReplyDeleteHahaha, gotta pay rent to wait. :D
Deleteerrr, RM3.50 not too bad lah, i think nowadays a packet of instant noodles also around RM1?? plus the veggie and egg, as well as to pay for the "chef" to cook yours, the "cleaner" to wash up, the "server" to serve you the food and lastly the rental and utilities.. most importantly, you can sit there for two hours to wait for your office to open.. think this way, actually you untung lah~~ haha!! :D
ReplyDeleteYes I agree fully with you! :D
DeleteI also will opt for a bowl of noodles instead of nasi lemak and anything spicy in the morning... Last time there is one old lady selling like this too.. but she adds in fish balls and fish pancakes.. also cost RM3.50 and like you, I chose the chicken flavour too! :)
ReplyDelete*shake hand* :)
DeleteQuite a cheap rate for parking your bum. :)
ReplyDeleteHaha, true, you put it in such a funny way :)
DeleteReally looks like the maggi mee we would cook at home ;)
ReplyDeleteIt is the same maggi mee. :)
DeleteWhy you didn't order the other one? I thought fish ball hor fun more healthy than maggi mee. Hehe!
ReplyDeleteFish ball could contain lots of preservatives and the soup they put will also have msg in them so I prefer egg to fish ball.
DeleteRM3.50 for a bowl of instant noodles with an egg & veggie in an aircond eatery is cheap lor!!
ReplyDeleteIs it? Now I know.
DeleteFor that price, it is cheap to sit there fof 2 hours. Hahaha.
ReplyDeleteSo now I know.
