Favourite pasta

In case my previous post gives a wrong impression of me being an absolute pasta snob, let me present here my favourite pasta dish - pasta drizzled with lots of extra virgin olive oil and Italian herbs, garnished with fresh basil  leaves and raw tomatoes wedges. Colavita, Bertolli, Olitalia and Laleli are some of the brands of extra virgin olive oil that I have used.

My sister prepares this vegetarian pasta dish for me all the time and I love it. That's why I seldom eat pasta in restaurants because there is no need to, this is the type of pasta that I love to eat.

  2. Hah? Is that spaghetti? Seems so thin, like wantan mee noodles, if looking at the picture. I can't differentiate the flavors of different brands of olive oil, I always just go for the cheapest, as long as it is extra virgin.

    1. So you noticed! It is either Capellini or Capelli d'angelo (angel hair) pasta. Much thinner than spaghetti. The brand does matter because some brands say they are extra virgin but they are not, their way of processing the olive oil do not qualify them to be extra virgin.
