Annual Eye Checkup

On Thursday 20.jul.2023, he is the driver and chaperone for kid 1 and the elderly for the annual hospital eye check up. Waited with them from early morning 9 am till about 1.40 pm before sending them home. Went into the consultation area with them to listen to the doctor's advice. The elderly requires annual eye check up due to being in high risk category from having diabetes and etc and on many medications. Luckily all is ok so fixed appointment for next year.

He picked me up at 2 pm and without deciding on what to eat for his early dinner and my omad, he went to Sri Petaling and amidst the bumper to bumper traffic in the commercial area of Sri Petaling, found an open air parking space so parked the car and looked around. YitCha kaw kaw eatery Sri Petaling is the nearest eatery to the parked car so we ate our meal there.

2.31 pm - he ordered nasi lemak with fried chicken but was told need to wait 20 minutes for fried chicken and was advised to change so he changed it to nasi lemak with siew yuk.

2.28 pm - I like this ala carte nam yue pork slices MYR 9++ so will always order it here. I also ordered plain ccf MYR 3.90++ which is ok but since I prefer to eat less carb I won't order this plain version next time.

2.23 pm - his order of pork balls MYR 6.90++, hot tea MYR 1++ and kampung egg tart MYR 2.50++ which he just ate a bite because of the fragrant taste. My order of bursting kaya puff MYR 2.70++ and iced Cham C MYR 4.30++ which I brought home because I didn't finish drinking it.

Total price MYR 50.10 nett. Credit card payments are not available.

3 pm - he crossed the road and bought two lard egg tarts from TK Bakery since he couldn't eat the kampung egg tart.

11.30 am - ordered shopee food delivery for the Elderlies at home while the 3 of them were still at the hospital. He typed roast chicken thigh and siew yuk x 2 and 1 rice so I thought only siew yuk needs two portions. Turned out he wanted roast chicken thigh x 2 too. Next time then.

  3. Being the driver and chaperone for both a little one and an elderly person is no small feat, but it’s amazing that you were there for them throughout their annual hospital eye check-up. 👏 It’s so important to take care of our loved ones, especially when they have health conditions like diabetes. I’m relieved to hear that everything went well and that you even managed to schedule the next appointment. 📅

  4. Now, let’s talk about that food adventure! 🍽️ Sri Petaling seems like a lively place, but the traffic must have been a challenge. Finding an open-air parking spot is like hitting the jackpot! 🚗 And then you stumbled upon YitCha kaw kaw eatery, how lucky! 😄 I can almost taste the nasi lemak with siew yuk and the nam yue pork slices. It’s great that you discovered your favourite dish there, but I totally understand wanting to cut down on carbs. I’ll keep that in mind if I ever visit. 🍚

  5. I have to say, your descriptions of the food are making me hungry! The pork balls, the hot tea, and that fragrant kampung egg tart sound absolutely delicious. It’s a shame you couldn’t eat it, but at least you found some lard egg tarts from TK Bakery. 🥚🥮 And hey, there’s always next time to get that roast chicken thigh x2, right? 😄

  6. I also noticed that you ordered food delivery for the Elderlies at home while you were still at the hospital. That’s such a thoughtful gesture! 🥡 It must have been a bit confusing with the portions, but hey, we all have our moments. It’s the thought that counts! 🤗
