Cranberry Earl Grey Scones

Three types of scones which I like to buy.

From Lavender bakery, Midvalley Mall, a pack of 3 buttery raisin scones costs MYR 5.40 nett so it is MYR 1.80 nett for one.

A pack of 4 mini cranberry earl grey scones at MYR 5.70 nett so it is MYR 1.425 nett each. Both scones are small with the mini scones even smaller. They are milky buttery but a bit on the sweet side so they cannot be eaten with jam because that would be way too sweet. Can detect a slight Earl Grey tea taste in the Earl Grey mini scones. This time both types of scones are overbaked so they are dry and not as tasty as previously.

Size comparison between the 3 types of scone.

3 scones in 1 pack for MYR 5.90 nett so it is MYR 1.966 nett for one scone. The bicarbonate taste can be detected in this scone but I like the taste so I buy this scone quite often. They are not that sweet so they can be eaten with jam. I seldom buy clotted cream so there is no clotted cream to be eaten with these scones. My friend does not like this scone because it tastes eggy and the dough has a raw taste according to her.

3 raisin scones in one pack from the Baker's Son Bakery which is the bakery linked to Jaya Grocer, the Gardens Mall.

The Baker's Son Bakery which is located next to the Grocer's Canteen which I like to refer to as Jaya Grocer's Food Court.

  1. Lavender should be good, been around so long. Can't get good scones here. Can't buy clotted cream here either.
