Red Bean Tong Sui

McD Smoky Beef Burger with Chipotle Sauce. Ala carte price inclusive of 6% SST is MYR 16.50 nett. I like the smoky taste and also the creamy Chipotle sauce.

A medium value meal set that includes fries and drink costs MYR 20 nett inclusive of 6% SST.

My spouse cooked red bean tong sui which is only slightly sweet. I like the low level of sweetness so I ate a bowl full of red beans for lunch. The smoky beef burger was for breakfast.

Ate this cold on the next day. Still tasty!

This is the honey chrysanthemum sugar used to cook the red bean tong sui. Not that sweet but just sweet enough to bring out the fragrance of the red beans. Sweet home brand. The above photo was copied from their website www.sweet-home.my

  1. I love red beans! Sometime ago, I asked my girl to buy me a double cheese from McD - it was such a disappointment. The patty was thin and hard and dry - any burger from any roadside stall would be nicer. Poor quality control, I guess, our outlet here.
