Pg2019-1 Maxim Dim Sum Perkaka

The day before we started for home from Penang, we went for a Dim Sum breakfast at Maxim, Taman Pekaka, Penang. Back in 2016, we went to eat at Max Gourmet twice, once in May and once in Oct. They belong to the Maxim Group as mentioned on their website. Maxim Taman Pekaka has a good self service system where we choose and collect the dim sum that we want from their respective counters.

Steamed Pork Stomach Dim Sum. I have not seen this dish being sold in KL Dim Sum places.

Lo Mai Kai (Glutinous Chicken Rice) is my favourite dish so it is a must to order it.

One plate of fish paste stuffed in red chilies and one plate of fish paste stuffed in brinjals (Yong To Fu pieces).

Char siew baos, red bean baos, two portions of prawns dumplings and one portion of pork dumplings (siew mai).

Total bill for 5 pax is MYR 81.90 nett. An average of MYR 16.38 nett per pax. I am not sure how much each dim sum costs. My friend has a member card so there is a member discount of 5%.

  5. You always amazed me with the food that you ate everywhere including my own hometown! I had never heard of steamed pork stomach which is getting me curious now. I remembered that I have eaten in one Maxim's outlet before. This brand name has been around for years in various ventures.
