Hotcake Uptown

Finally got a chance to eat this. Instead of order combo like PH, I ordered ala carte so the price is MYR 19.90 nett.

Side view.

It is a hotcake, not a souffle pancake so the texture is not as soft as souffle pancake. It is more like bread to me, a fluffy bread.

Ok, move over hotcake 1, time to attack hotcake 2.

Ala carte price for this Berry Blast is MYR 19.90 as compared to MYR 28.80 with either a Bubbly Milk Tea or Brown Sugar Love which means a drink in a combo costs MYR 8.90 nett. Since I am here for the hotcake, I don't want any drinks.

Fluffly clouds. We also have the whole place to ourselves until a couple walked in.

Two girls run the whole place at noon during a weekday. I don't think I will be back because I prefer the soyffle pancake at Soylab. I am just ok with the custard sauce which has a sort of "plastic" taste to me but my friend said it tastes like it has a bit of malt in it.

Walking out of Hotcake, we saw this sign for vegetarian rice. Price is good so we walked in but was too full to eat the rice so we bought a portion and put it inside our container to eat later. The vegetarian dishes are tasty - that is the verdict after we ate it later.

The vegetarian eatery is called Sandalo. It is located next to Hotcake, Uptown, PJ.

  2. Looks like you are not impressed hee..hee... I want to go try the Soyffle pancake. So Sandalo food is good in your opinion. I would like to give it a try since I want to incorporate vegetarian food in my diet at least once a week. But at RM5.00 I am quite certain the portion size is small for me.

    1. do try soyffle to see how you compare it to hotcake. you can eat sandalo rm5 and then go eat soyffle as dessert so you will be full and satisfied. :)
