Beef noodle soup - MYR17.90+ (MYR19.69 nett). This dish has a refreshing taste due to the many herbs used and it has lots of beef in it: beef meatballs, thin slices of beef and thick slices of beef so we will definitely order it again.
Fresh Prawn Roll - MYR8.50+ (MYR9.35 nett). I like the taste of the herbs in the filling but the rice paper wrapper is a bit too tough making it difficult to chew.
Drip Coffee with Milk and Ice - MYR7.90+ (MYR8.69 nett). The coffee has a strong roasted taste to it.
Three Layers Dessert/Drink has the same price as the drip coffee. The coconut milk is way too thick and rich for me so I won't be ordering this again although I like the green jelly (not cendol), sweet corns and red bean that is in the drink. I felt like I was drinking non-diluted coconut milk.
Total bill is MYR46.40 nett. Will return to try other food like lemongrass pork chop rice.

So many times you went to eat Vietnamese food already but not even one time I had tried
ReplyDeleteThere must be many good Vietnamese food eateries in Sg so you can go and try if you are interested.
DeleteIf I try, I won't order the beef noodle soup (cos no beef for me) and I don't think I will like the vietnamese rolls (cos I prefer popiah), most probably I will order the pork chop rice (slurps)
DeletePork chop marinated with lemon grass is very tasty too.
DeleteYou know, my last trip to Atria, it was deserted. I mean the entire Atria, not the eatery. I'm not so much of a Vietnamese food fan so I don't think I will go to Sri Petaling coz it is much further.
ReplyDeleteWhen did you go? I went during weekday and there were many people eating at the eateries during lunch time.
DeleteFinally you tasted it. The beef noodle soup looks good. That is for me. Pitt the wrapper was tough. I would enjoy the prawn rolls too.
ReplyDeleteI like eating prawn rolls that was why I ordered it so it is really a pity that the wrapper is a bit tough this time.
DeleteHahhh!!! So how do the locals pronounce the name of the shop? Hehehehe!!!!
ReplyDeleteBeef noodles look so so good, and the rolls too.
I love Vietnamese rolls but my girl is not a fan, not so fond of the skin, prefers popiah. That is why we have not made any at home for a long while now. Easier to prepare than popiah, just the hassle of having to dip the wrapper in hot water to soften right before use. Maybe the wrapper you had had been softened a little too long before use.
I have no idea how the locals pronounce the name. They should have softened the wrapper more.
DeleteMention Vietnamese cuisine only, I'll think of the beef noodles, avocado drink and popiah..
ReplyDeleteYou are a pro. Yes, there is avocado drink in the menu.
DeleteThe dipping container for the fresh prawn roll is very cute...resembles a small ladle :)
ReplyDeleteThe dip is tasty too. :)
DeleteThe second photo showing the 2 wraps inside the bowl with the ladle of sauce is very artistic to my eyes! I need to open my eyes wider to look for Pho Vietz at Atria.....
ReplyDeleteIt is at the top most floor where there are many eateries.
Deleteso where did u park? I like VN spring rolls...both the fried and without fried version, but I have yet to try out those in Pho Vietz...
ReplyDeleteI parked quite far away and walked there. Found a parking space in front of Maybank (opposite the Shell petrol station).
DeleteSigh... won't enjoy this I'm afraid. In fact I don't think I will enjoy pho in Malaysia as a general even if I do not have the "no beef in Malaysia" habit. The herbs zzz... When I ate pho in the US, they always serve the herbs separately and you can add as much or little as you wish, or not at all (like me)...
ReplyDeleteI think the special thing about Vietnamese food is the herbs that they use. If you don't like the herbs, no need to eat vietnamese food ler.
DeleteI came here once. Didn't order any of those that you ordered cos not a fan of beef or the rice paper wrapper ( pefer popiah skin). We ordered rice dishes and something that has lots of basil, aiyo I forgot the names edi (got memory problem)..but overall taste quite good.
ReplyDeleteI did notice many delicious looking rice dishes in the menu. Will definitely go back to try them.
DeleteThe beef noodle sup looks good. I would choose that too.
ReplyDeleteI believe you will like it.
DeleteThe pho really looks good.. I must squeeze more lemon or lime then the soup will become more shiok! :)
ReplyDeleteHahaha, you can ask for more limes then. :)
DeleteThere's one in Atria? So near? :) Must go try.
ReplyDeleteYes, there is one in Atria at the top floor where many eateries are located. It is quite packed with people though.
