Lemon Koay Teow Soup

Recently I heard about this stall that sells Lemon Koay Teow Soup in Penang although it seems that it has been there for quite a while. This post is to remind me to try this lemon soup the next time I go to Penang.

In case you can't find it on the stall's signboard. It says "Lemon Koay Teow Soup". I wonder whether or not I will like its taste.

  1. Lemon? Ya, I wonder if it is like white tom yam, sourish.

  2. Yeah, try it once and you'll feel thirsty for the rest of the day. Same applies to every stall in that coffee shop, including the zhap fan...

    1. Nowadays everyone in food courts use MSG or lots of salt or flavouring agents. Not surprising.

    2. Of course. But this one's worse. Way worse compared to many others in Penang.

Well, it was years ago since I last gave this coffee shop any chance at all. It is now in my permanent ban list. But maybe they've changed. You should go try it and let me know. :P

  8. Maybe will be something like Vietnamese pho. The one that comes with tons of tauge and a slice of lemon.
