Very Flavourful

Curry Mee - MYR8.90 - price is inclusive of 6% GST. We requested for the red curry oil to be omitted.

Assam Laksa - same price as the curry mee above. For this price, the fish meat is like this, all smashed up.

We ordered another bowl of Assam Laksa since there were 4 of us at the same price and add extra fish for MYR2.90 (inclusive of 6% GST).

Bought from Ah Cheng Laksa stall at Quill City Mall where weekend parking is MYR3 per entry for the whole day.

    2. I like it all spicy. Not so into sour taste but I do take assam laksa. If have option, I go for curry mee. ^^

    1. Not as oily as some other curry noodles I ate before.

  6. Now that looks like a bowl of curry mee that I'd be happy to partake in....and I don't mind the red chilli oil either.

  7. I have tried their curry noodles but not (yet) the asam laksa.. I remember they claimed themselves as the best in northern malaysia and probably the whole malaysia..

    1. I thought they are famous for their assam laksa more than for their curry mee?

  9. Quill City Mall? Is that a new mall or a nickname?

    1. It is a new mall, in KL city center, opposite Sheraton Imperial KL and in the vicinity of Tune hotel KL city center, Maju Junction, Kin Kin Pan mee. Are you familiar with that area?

    2. Maju Junction yes. Amazing, they can still squeeze the space out for a new mall in that area @.@ .

    3. I think they demolish some old buildings to build this mall. The project used to be called vision city and now the mall is named quill city mall instead.

  14. I believe that Ah Cheng serves the best Assam Laksa in KL. Only fussy Penang kia like me enjoyed theirs.

  15. The servings are all very small right? I tried this place just once.

    1. This one I bought is the normal regular portion. There is a smaller portion available. You bought the small one?

  16. Didn't know you can ask for the oil to be omitted. I usually scoop it out on my own haha... This Ah Cheng laksa was in my to-eat list on our last trip back but unfortunately not enough time to go for it.

    1. Nowadays I try to ask for things to be omitted. I guess they would be more than happy to save some ingredients unless they are realy busy. They have many outlets so hopefully you will be able to try this on your next trip back.
